Momma's B & B

You know when your children grow up and leave home sometimes you can still hear their little voices calling Momma and you actually turn around looking for them. My two boys are 32 and 29 now and live far away so we don't get to see them too often. But the youngest came back to Virginia last week to attend a wedding of one of his old college classmates. He and his sweetie spent the night with us on Thurs. nite and then traveled on to the wedding for the weekend. They then returned, along with another college buddy and his girl visiting from Texas, to our home to spend Sunday and Monday with us. It was so good to have him home and the fun of having young adults around. They went fishing and kayaking on the lake and played in the pool. We had a cook-out one night and since this totally unhip Mom had no cool boom boxes to bring outside we just drove one of the cars into the backyard and turned the music up full blast. That's one advantage to living out in the country. You can make all the noise you want. After dark the young lady from Texas wanted to know what all those twinkling lights were out in the field. She had never seen lightning bugs before. The next morning we had fresh sweet buns and coffee on the deck and after that the guys jammed on their guitars. I just loved listening to them. It was time to go home. Their flights left about 4 pm today so everyone is gone and the old house is so quiet again. I swear I can hear a little voice calling "Momma".
