Pink Santas & Such

Did you see the vintage Santa mugs pictured in an article in the new Victoria magazine? It was a story about the old five & dime stores or better known as Woolworth's. Well yesterday I found one when I ventured out treasure hunting. I was excited because this little mug had been hand painted and signed and it was in excellent condition. I also found the cutest holly leaf dish, I think from the 1950's. I thought it would make a darling butter dish for a holiday table setting. My neatest find was a shabby pink sitting Santa that had the most glorious curly beard. If you love pink Santas, he and the other things are listed in the boutique. There was also a Holiday Bazaar and a Harvest Fest craft show. I got some really cute stocking stuffers but can't say what they are because my sweet boys might read this post. :) But I'll give you a hint DH in case you read this. It has something to do with tractors (grin).

Do you like my new banner? I am thrilled with it. Jenn and Jacqui over at the Bowerbird's Nest graciously made it for me and I just love it. Jacqui took the time to read my entire blog to get the essence of what is me and what a wonderful job they did. Please fly on over to their blog , swing in the swing and spend some time with them. They are the sweetest ladies and have a wonderful read. Thank you Jenn and Jacqui! I love it!

Thanksgiving will be here real soon and I know lots of you will be traveling and busy as bees cookin' up a storm but there's still time to leave a comment on my Gratitude Gala Post and I hope you will. It's a give-away for products Made in Virginia. Hint...hint....Smiles are the Pleasures of Life.

Have a great and fun week everyone and Happy Thanksgiving ~ Lynn

Beautiful banner!!!

I am partial to the little Santa mug! My grandmother gave each of us one when we were little. Mine broke sometime during my teenage years. I missed it so much that several years ago I was happy to find a small lot of them on ebay - now my little Santa mugs have multiplied! lol

Thanksgiving sounds so nice. Not a thing we celebrate here I'm afraid.
Hope you have a great week.

Dear Lynn, what beautiful treasures you found! We have a Santa mug like that from when I was little -- we usually left Santa's milk in it, along with a few cookies. :)

Thanks for your sweet comment. I hope that your husband's surgery went well, too.
xoxo,
Mary
