My Football Hero

Are you ready for some footballlllll? Tomorrow....Super Bowl! I married my football hero. He attended college on a football scholarship. That's us in the photo in the fall of 1968. I believe it was the last game of the season. After college and marriage he coached a little league team and not only were they undefeated but also unscored upon for the season. I tell you the parents of those kids treated us like royalty. These days my DH loves to watch college football and is one of the best sofa coaches I know. When the playoffs arrive it's party time at this house especially since the college where our two sons attended is always in a bowl game. Today, just as back then I tend to enjoy football for the social aspect of it...you know....the food and drinks and company of others. So tomorrow I'll be watching the game with half interest, enjoying my junk food and the company of others until those commercials come on.

Don't forget there is still time to sign up for my give-away under the Rhinestone Cowgirl post. I hope you will. xo Lynn

P.S. GardenGoose is having a Valentine give-away. Go see her pretties and sign up.

Honestly Lynn, when I first saw the picture I thought it was Ali McGraw! I am serious! I was thinking, well that doesn't quite look like a scene from Love Story...You could have knocked me over with a feather to find out that was you and your hubbie!

At this moment the Super Bowl is almost over, I think. I am not such a fan....but I do keep my ear out for the commercials!

What a great photo!! Isn't it great to have stuff like that?! Yesterday we went to my in-laws for lunch. My 6 year old daughter sat and drew pictures with her 90 year old great gram. I took their pictures home so that I can save it for Miah! Looking at your photo, I wish I could look that good in plaid! Blessings... Polly (p.s. got the website up today!)

Well, the game is over and our house is a bit touchy. I am a New Yorker living in the land of the Patriots. My husband is from Massachusetts and of course was rooting for the Pats. So, I am smiling today.

Lynn, I have an award for you on my post today. Stop by and take it home. Have a lovely day.

Blessings, Karen
