My Thinking Spot

Snippets of my creative space.....Bobo ( AW) feel free to make a comment! :) It's here where I never lose my child's enthusiasm. Take a peek at where I work, play and create. Baskets overflowing with papers and embellishments, drawers of paints, dowels spinning with colorful ribbons, old silver compotes filled with vintage jewelry and crystals. A mirrored closet full of packing supplies, also great for dancing in front of. A 9 ft. long work station that Bobby G. made for me ......... it's my haven for packing and cutting. My trusty old sewing machine sits on an antique peddle sewing case stand with the ironing board right behind it. Above the glass doors, resting on vintage bird curtain tiebacks, is my old sign with my motto.....Mix the Old with the New. A corner and tiered desk holds my computer where I talk to all of you and my customers and where I sit and gaze at the lake and nature. And my faithful studio companion always near by.

"WHERE BLOGGERS CREATE" tour is the brain child of the wonderful, thoughtful and brilliant Brenda of The Brenda Blog. Starting August 24th and lasting through out the week. So click on over to her blog for a list of all those participating. Wishing you a super great week and lots of creative thoughts.

I love it that you space is just a tiny bit rumpled, especially around the computer. I can keep the rest of my space PRETTY clean and organized, but around the computer is a volcano. (Yours is not.)

Creatives spaces say so much about a person. Yours says that you are truly creative.

What a wonderful space...I love all that ribbon, and I have a golden too! The perfect dog. I would like to come over Lynn and ask you to show me how to sew. Now I can see where you create all of those wonderful little girl dresses. I so enjoyed your tour, even more because I know the beautiful things that you create there. Karen

Good morning Lynn :)

What a fantastic space! I'm so envious of all the ribbon and paint you have. The sign above your desk is brilliant and I love it! That's the second time I've seen that book For The Love Of Old today. I think it's a sign that I must have it ;)

Give that furry baby of yours a hug for me!

Your work area shows an awful lot of whimsy and creativity going on there. You must have a good sense of humor (the head with the lampshade hat?). I will be back to read some of your other posts. Susan

Beautiful! And inspiring. I stopped at the flowered file folder and gazed at it for ever so long. Your space and your site bring smiles. So does the photo of your furry friend. I lost my faithful companion a year and a half ago and have not gotten another. Soon, maybe.

Lynn,

I love your space. It must be great for "thinking". I know I need a space for that, too.

I spotted your Pink Saturday note. ;-)

Lynn,
I hope you never lose that unique ability to play. Sometimes as we age (ahem, mature,ripen,grow-up, nothing sounds right, lol) we forget how to play, to get on the floor, to tune out the world, just play.....But you know how to play, and that is where ideas form, and art is born, and whimsy comes to visit. I will never forget the picture of you and your crown for MMP's contest. You were a child at play, the word PLAY personified.
Hugs, Theresa
