Are you ready for some PINK?? Recently I did some shopping at this charming website called Polka Dot Rose. Yeah....I know...they sell vintage just like I do but they had something I just had to have for a future project. They were running a contest while I was there and my name went into the "hat" for a drawing. Guess who won? (big grin) When that package arrived at Cedarhill I was dumbfounded. I never saw so much pink goodness in one package...be still my heart as I unwrapped each little treasure . You must click on over to the two sweetest sisters there ever was and check out all the vintage goodies they have for you. It's a blast from the past! After that don't forget to go to Beverly's at How Sweet the Sound for a list of all the participating Pink Saturday bloggers. She's a pink sweetheart for being our hostess. Now let's see what's under that pink tissue.
Isn't that the prettiest sight? Look at all that happy color!
First thing I unwrapped was this lovely vintage jewelry or hosiery travel bag. I didn't have one so this will see a lot of use when I am on a traveling buying trip.
Isn't this the sweetest little pink roses creamer? Perfect for my next tea party.
Gorgeous soaps which went right into my powder room. They smell so good. Another soap was placed on the prettiest vintage plate and wrapped in tulle. (Some how I forgot to photo that) That went right into my powder room too in place of that ol' plastic thing I had in there. Looks more like "me" now. :)
Having an e- boutique called theVintageNest and a blog named the same, Kristi & Karla included this beautiful bird in the package. He now resides in the grapevines at my kitchen window. :))
It was love at first sight when I unwrapped these charming petite cherub plaques. Framed in old worn gold they look so Frenchy. You can't tell in the photo but the hangers are metal laurel wreaths. Never seen anything like that. These are going in my boudoir (smile) next to an antique roses painting.
Look at that. There's still a ton of goodies to open. I am just overwhelmed at this point of their generosity. It was so much fun....like Christmas in July, only better. These packages were canisters of Faeries's Finest Vanilla Fantasy infused sugar and lavender dark cocoa mix. Mmm...mmm...can't wait to try them.
Look at these darling little sheep characters. I see a new vignette for Easter time in my future.
And then I came to this!! Isn't that the most gorgeous pink roses paper all tied up with polka dots you have ever seen? Wanna' know what's inside? You know you do. :)
Feast your eyes on these!! Those girls had no idea I do one Christmas tree every year with old ornaments. And I can't wait to add these to the tree.
Here's some close-ups of a couple of the ornaments. A googly eye Santa and glass Santa ornament. I have a small collection of the old glass Santas so I was really excited to see that one. And lastly, a purple glass teapot. It's so sweet and delicate and I have never seen one before. Love it!
Uh oh! Don't shoot me but I just realized there is no pink in that last photo. But being the wonderful bloggers that you are I am sure you won't mind. :) Have a great Saturday everyone and don't forget to visit the Polka Dot Rose. xo Lynn
