Pink Saturday ~ Sweet Water

We have had no rain for weeks on end and everything was dried up and parched including me. You can water all you want but there's just no substitute for rain water. Thank goodness the heavens finally opened up and we have had 24 hours of sweet rain water. My pink impatients are thrilled! Happy Pink Saturday everyone and don't forget to click over to Beverly's place..... "How Sweet the Sound" for a whole list of Pink Saturday participants. It's a good thing! :)

xoxo Lynn

Hi Lynn! What pretty little flowers! I know exactly what you mean about lack of rain since it rarely rains where I live too, but I'm happy you finally got some sweetie. I just stopped by to wish you a wonderful Labor Day weekend, and to invite you to enter a give away on my blog if you get a chance. Happy Saturday!

I love your *pink* impatiens! I usually get white ones, but I think next year I'm going to have to get some *pink* ones and tuck them in somewhere! I too am thankful for the rain we got yesterday, as it was so very dry here too. My impatiens, morning glories, and marigolds were about the only flowers that thrived this summer.

Hi Lynn! First of all many thanks for your comment on my post of 08.08.08 at 08h08 at Blogtrotter, now in Kos, Greece! It was great to read you there. Second, sorry for the long delay to come here, but August was a terribly busy month, as everybody else seems to be in vacation…
Anyhow, I found sometime now to land here and enjoy your blog. Great Thinking Spot post!
Wish you a great weekend!

Your pink impatients look grateful for their heavenly "drink". I love that variety of flower.

I don't blame you for venting/ranting about the disgusting ad you received --- IN THE MAIL! We've reached a new low---.

Have a great Holiday Weekend! Dana

My garden pretty much dried up, no matter how many times I hosed it down. Then it started raining and wouldn't quit. Now likely we'll get the hurricane rains drifting this way. So now I have a rather dried up looking garden ready to get drenched! But I'm not ever going to complain about how rain replenishes the earth!

Your impatients are just lovely. Mine, unfortunately, have bitten the dust.

I'm glad you've gotten some rain. We have had just a little today, but I'd like a good soaking!

I love impatients. They're relatively easy to grow IF they get enough water.

Excellent photo of your happy plants! It's probably raining because it's a holiday weekend. Or maybe it's not still raining (I'm a little behind on my reader). I live in the desert. It rarely rains here. We get 8" a YEAR. It's rainy, overcast and COLD this weekend. Fine with me because we've been gone so much we don't want to do anything exciting, but it's such a typical holiday weekend!
