Pink Saturday ~ I Didn't Mean to Scare You!

I know it's not Halloween yet and I didn't mean to scare you clean out of your chair but for today's Pink Saturday I wanted to show you all the gown I always wear at my hairdresser's. We have our choice of color and I always pick the pink one. Susie had just put color on my hair........yes, I have three gray hairs that I cover once a month (grin). I think I deserve today's award for being the most brave blogger lady by posting this picture! Go here for a list of pinkers over at Beverly's.

On a more serious pink note:

Please join me and the ladies at Make Mine Pink's PINK OCTOBER SHOP HOP!

When? Monday October 6-12th. Winners will be announced the week of the 12th

Each year, Make Mine Pink celebrates all who have suffered and survived breast cancer and honors those who have lost their battle with breast cancer. The boutiques at Make Mine Pink have lots of exciting things planned including special limited edition products, special discounts, or a percentage of sales donated directly to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.

Please register and read the instructions to participate. Not only will you have an opportunity to win fabulous prizes, but you'll have an opportunity to shop unique and specialty products and participate in specials and events at some of the individual boutiques. The shop hop is open to anyone that would like to participate over 18 years of age (limit one registration per physical address).

How it Works

Many of our MMP members have hidden a special pink ribbon (as shown to the right) on their websites (including me). There is only one pink ribbon image per website. Search through their websites until you find the pink ribbon that says, "You Found It!" Once you've found the ribbon, click it to return to Make Mine Pink, and, as a registered participant, you will automatically receive credit for it—the more bags that you find, the better the prizes will get. When the shop hop ends, we will hold a drawing for each prize level. Signing up is free and there's no purchase necessary to participate, so there's no reason not to play!

Just follow this link to take you to the Make Mine Pink explanation page, a list of participating boutiques and the fabulous prices you can win. Hope you all have a wonderful Pink Saturday!

I'm so laughing at this, Lynn. Although, I really think I looked much more scary when I was in the middle of the color process. You are so brave. And, the pink robe is an absolute.

Talk about brave, I am letting my color grow out. I'm going to try to get in touch with my gray. Heck, if it's too bad, I can always go back to color.

I would definately call you BRAVE! I get foils done to cover my grey hair, of which I have many regardless of the fact that I'm only 40. I looks like I own stock in a tinfoil company by the time I'm done :)

I’m a hairstylist, believe me I have seen worse. I think I going to get pink capes for my clients to wear for the month of October. Great idea. I'll make a note and check out the October Shop Hop.

I agree..you deserve the bravest blogger award and then some. I colored my hair for years and finally quit. I hadn't seen the true color of my hair in years and decided to take a look. I actually liked it so I kept it. That was a brave moment too!!

Hi Lynn. First time I have ever seen a hair salon use a gown as opposed to the usual ugly cape. I just had my hair cut Friday. I go a little shorter each time I go. It's short enough now that I can no longer put it in a ponytail. I have some gray hair, but I refuse to color. I actually like gray hair, and I think my hubby's gray hair is quite sexy! LOL
Have a great week and take care.

You still look cute to me, and I didn't get scared a wink. Thanks for the note about Make Mine Pink. They were my first virtual tea party when I first started blogging. I love all of their shops and especially yours. I will follow the yellow brick road, or should I say Pink brick road. Karen

A really lovely shop nearby called The Purple Rose loves Make Mine Pink. She is always looking for new things to carry in her shop. Here is her link, maybe you should send her the link to your shop.

http://www.purplerosehome.com/

She seems to adore the links to Make Mine Pink. I can see your lovely little girl dresses hanging from one of her shabby chic hutches in her shop.
