Okay....This may not be exciting for a lot of you but it gets me going. ;) This is so totally shabby but chic. I think this is exactly what Ms. Ashwell has in mind when she is talking about shabby chic. I found this old piece at a church antique sale and just went gaga over it. It's so totally perfectly pink and just the right amount of shabby. Unfortunately there is no room in my house for it so it went in the boutique. It's called a bucket bench and it folds down flat. I can just see this at the foot of the bed topped with gorgeous old quilts or just imagine if you had a big bath, you could top this with big fluffy white towels and other accessories.
That's it for Pink Saturday.....short and sweet. Today I will be out hunting for more treasures. There's lots more pink over at Beverly's blog for your viewing pleasure. Take a peek and I hope you have a fabulous day.
Hi Lynn, I love the pink bench! Your link on Beverly's Pink Saturday post does not go to your blog, so you might want to have that fixed! Happy Pink Saturday! Love, Ann
I KNOW that is exactly what she was talking about (Rachel). I have a DVD of her old TV series and in one show she was at a flea market looking at one of these exact things! It makes me wish I had a shabby house...I would snap that one up if I did! Hugs, Penny
Well, naturally Lynn, I see it out in the garden with nice plants and flowers tumbling over the edges! A piece of glass over the top would be nice, as it looks slatted and might be difficult to perch things on. Brenda
Lynn, great bench. I would have to paint it. What a pity that would be. I love the shabby, but pink does not work in my house. What a sweet cottage look.
What a lovely shabby chic pink bench you found. Only sorry to hear you aren't going to keep it for yourself. You are so right. Rachel would think it was just as perfect as do I. I love your idea of using it in a large bathroom stacked with lots of fluffy white towels.
what an unusual design! I love the color and the patina of the paint. Let us know what you use it for, I'm sure you're be very creative and it will look gorgeous. The bathroom idea is perfect, actually.
Have a wonderful weekend, Lynn, and enjoy Pink Saturday.

yes, that is a cute bench. It reminds me of the porch swing I used to have that I painted pink. That was back in the single days. For some reason, Steve is opposed to me having pink things on my porch now! ha ha!
