One of my very talented blogging friends, Dana, recently decided to clean out her artist studio and had a purge give-away. Silly me, I thought she was sending those of us that wanted it, the bits and pieces leftover from her knitting, sewing and paper projects she no longer had a use for. I was one of those who was jumping up and down, waving my hand excitedly and saying "ooh-ooh-ooooh", just like the class clown in Kotter's class, Arnold Horschack, " yes, yes, send me some". Wellllll.....the very neatly wrapped package with a little kitty kat (Daisy) stamped on the front, arrived the other day. I waited a few days before opening up, waiting for the right moment to savor the colorful bits and pieces I knew this precious package contained. Boy, oh boy, did I get the shock of the week. No bits and pieces in this box, no ma'am. It was filled with a cornucopia of delights. She had sent some of the most gorgeous hand crafted note cards I had ever seen, the most intricate little origami notebook, bookmark, a beautiful little bangled velvet pouch. Pictured below is also an exquisite pink marbled silk scarf that she marbled herself, (I can't imagine that process!) and a darling hand bound bird's nest journal she made.....and they're PINK. I wonder how she knew I liked pink? (insert big grin here) I tell you the girl is a true artist. I have encouraged her to sell her stuff on the infamous ET place or maybe the new frou frou marketplace that has a grand opening in February. I hope she will take me up on this, as her work is not to be missed. Visit her blog too, A Cat in my Lap. She and her kitty, Daisy, give tutorials on fun things to make, post to make you think, post to make you laugh and is just a pleasure to read. Love ya' Dana. And thank you!
And if you are in the mood for more pretty pink please visit our Beverly's blog. She's got a list of the best pinkness around. P.S. I must apologize to you all. Most Saturdays I am on the road treasure hunting so I don't get to most blogs until Sunday but I WILL be there. :)
