Decorating with cast offs. They're pink ..... a wonderful worn shade of pink! What's not to like? Lay a pair of old pink ballet slippers on a pile of vintage books as a focal point. Add pretty old pink velvet ribbons and hang them from a mirror or a wonderful old print or a romantic Victorian painting of roses or off a bedpost. Adding just a bit of whimsy and textural feel to a room can make all the difference from a ho hum room to a WOW room. It's a good thing! Keep those eyes open when you are at yard sales and thrifts. And look at things in a new light. Happy Pink Saturday you all. Now leap on over to Beverly's at How Sweet the Sound for a whole list of pink beauties. :)
You know, now that I think about it, there was not a lot of light pink in India......all the pink was very strong and bold! I just loved all the rich colors we saw :)
I think I would like to wear those pink ballet shoes :-) Oh but I do agree about the adding ribbons and hanging them for display whether from a door knob or a bed post. pretty!
Oh the color of pink is such a wonderful color. It reminds me of dreams from yesterdays gone by. But yet of ones that my little great-nieces have now! The slippers surely look like whoever owned them before got much use out of them! To which I say "Way to Go." Enjoy this weekend and know that we are getting some much needed rain here in NC. Blessings, Nana Net
