What's Under Your Bed?

If you were a little thing you might say the boogey man and don't dare stick your foot out from underneath the covers at night. :) Under the bed is a great storage place....don't cha' think? Especially if you have one of those tall beds that you have to use a little stool to climb into to. Bobby G. was full of all kinds of questions when he saw me taking pictures of under our bed. All I said was "don't ask" with a big grin. And he didn't. :)

There is no room under my bed for the obvious such as shoes. Nope......under my bed you will find all my Christmas wrapping paper, bows, tissue paper and boxes.

All the shoes (all 55 pair of black shoes) are stacked in the closet along with the 48 pair of flip flops. I love, love, love flip flops, so much so that I thought they would make cute gift tags. Aren't they the cutest? They are listed on the "Celebrations" page of my website and a few on my new Etsy shop. They are so diva chic! And make the perfect finishing touch for a beautifully wrapped gift. With the warmer weather now it's time to make sure my tootsies have the best Opi polish on them and your gifts have the best tags on them.

I was tickled pink to find out I was chosen by MoonDog as a blog "You'll Love". Thank you Sheri so much and I also was given the Kreativ Blogger award by Sandi from the Etsy Cottage Site. It's a fabulous group of gals who have the most gorgeous items. It always amazes me that anyone would take the time to read anything I have to say. I am grateful for the little things in life that make it such a celebration. :) So until nest (oops...that must have been a slip of the tongue) next time ............

......what's under your bed?? ?

Absolutely nothing is under my bed except the carpet (and dust, I'm sure!) and sometimes my little bedside rugs "walk" under the bed!

I love the flip-flop tags, they are too cute! I'm ready to get my flip-flops out, too, but I would probably get frost bite on my toesies yet, it's still a bit too cold here! :(

Have a lovely evening!
Margie :)

Great gift tags...actually quite perfect for here! We(said in general as in almost ALL Brazilians) wear flip flops EVERYWHERE...
to breakfast, lunch and/or dinner
to walk around in
around the house
to school
to clean
to sweep the tennis courts (which are clay mind you!)
EVERYWHERE
You need some from here! Tell me your size and color preference, and I can mail you some this summer when I get back to the States!

I have clear rolling under bed rubbermaid totes... 1 with out of season clothing, 2 with additional bedding and linens. I have one of those beds that requires a step stool as well, so I put the space to good use :)

Love your flip flop tags; how original and adorable! My bed is pretty low to the ground, so I can't get a lot under there, just a mish mash of things, and I wouldn't DARE show a photo because of all the dust and fur!

Since we just painted our bedroom and had to move the bed, it's fairly sane under there right now! ;-) But there's not a lot of storage space - so it's mainly one big, flat, plastic holder of shoes.

Love those cute little gift tags!

You make me wish for a dust ruffle on my bed! Since I don't have dust ruffle, I can't store anything under the bed (except a lot of dust bunnies, and I'm not taking pictures of them)! These flip flop tags are absolutely adorable! You are just so creative. laurie

You can get the machine and syrup both at Wal-mart on the summer isle. I wouldn't pay the shipping on ebay if I were you.

Your flip flops are very cute especially the ones with lace and ribbons. I don't like the ones that go between your toes.

Hi Lynn! Trying to emulate Mrs. Marcos? ;))

Now, one week working without coming here and you don’t even remember that
Blogtrotter still exists. But it’s there, even if India 2008 has come to an end… ;)). Have a great weekend!

I love the flip flop tags...so cute!
It drives my husband nuts....I have a 52" quartersawn table top under my bed. The pedestal is in a guestroom serving as a table.
It will be used as a table when (if) the kitchen is ever remodeled...the floor sags and will mess up the joints. :-)

i have nothing under my bed, only because it is a platform waterbed.....55 pairs of shoes?!!!!! OMG I have 2 pair of Teva flip flops, my nursing shoes, a pair of sneakers, a pair of those slipon suede cloggy shoes from LLBean, and two pair of high heels from Vic. Secret.and a pair of custom made cowboy boots..thats it! 55 pair? how do you decide what to wear???

Oh Lynn, I love that you love black shoes! I am obsessed with black, period. My SIL says I need to get out of the funeral clothes! LOL As for underneath MY bed.... a 36" tabletop & legs that will become a desk when I finish the 3rd guestroom. Also my Step, risers, and weights. All covered by a white dust ruffle so no one can see!!! All the best. Sue

Hi Lynn,
You're going to laugh (or be scared) but the Boogeyman is kind of under my bed. Have you seen that movie Trilogy of Terror with the doll that runs around after the woman? That doll is under my bed with many pairs of tennis shoes and flip flops. I'll have to post a photo of him one of these days. Love the tags, they're darling!

Hi Lynn, this is a lovely post, and the flip flops are inspirational, I think the underneath of your bed is charming. I had a peek under my bed and found the following:
a brown shoe, a sailor theme sock, a hairclip, a pair of green clogs and a lot of dust.
I noticed another Margie on your comments and sent her a comment too. hugs Margie.

Under my bed? Well I know there are several festive-looking Xmas boxes containing gifts for Xmas 09; there's a bag of books I bought for myself for next Xmas that I haven't read yet (have to do that before I start remembering what they are!); there's a big, shallow, faux-leather tote containing things for the girls Easter baskets; and more that I don't remember. One of the little things that bring me joy periodically is actually dragging everything out and looking at it. It's a day of "Oh my, look at this!" OR "Wow, I forgot I bought this for her!" It's a fun day.

I too have an obsession for flip flops. When it's remotely warm enough here, I grab my flip flops! And there's no way I would show you what's under my bed. Mounds of dog hair no doubt, along w/dust bunnies yuck!! (chinchillas are my pet name for them)

Love your tags!! I once made foam flip flop invitations for my baby girl's beach birthday party!! Too cute

Nothing is under my bed, but there IS wrapping paper, and a few craft supplies under my daughters'. (It's better there because they can't stuff it full of toys, clothes, whatever.)

I love the flip flop tags!

Besides some Dust Wolves...who have eaten the Dust Bunnies no doubt...just the area rug. I've always wanted one of those beds with the nifty drawers under the boxsprings. The underside of the bed always seemed like such wasted space to me, except for when I was a little girl and we used to hide under our beds at night trying to escape from the "Sandman!" Great Blog! Reading your entries is a delight! Well Done!
