Pink Saturday ~ Vintage Tinsel Trees

Happy Pink Saturday! Look at this adorable petite vintage tinsel tree I found last weekend at my most favorite country church and bazaar sale of the year (and the last for the year). Its base is glittered and it still has the charming old mercury glass ornaments, PINK included, on it. Perfect for a table top vignette! It's in The Vintage Nest boutique along with some other charming vintage Christmas ornaments. Bloggy friends get a 10% discount. All you have to do is type "special" (because you are) on the coupon code at checkout, hit recalculate, and it's done. :) And for tons more pink just click here. Beverly, our hostess, has a whole passel of people who love pink and are anxious to show you what they love.

And since we (welllll...me anyway) are discussing ornaments, it's time to mention my give-away one more time. It's just about over, the 30th of November being the last day to enter. Enter is not really the right word because you are already "entered" if you have left a comment on any blog post from this month so far. So if you haven't .....what are you waiting for? My last give-away ornament is this sweet bird. You knew there was going to be a bird in there somewhere didn't you? :) This double Peace dove bird heart ornament was created from vintage Christmas sheet music and I just had to add a bit of silver bling. The hanger is old twine topped with a vintage jet black button....charming! I saw some very similar to these in the Ballard catalog. They surely must have copied my idea, only mine is cuter. (big grin). The center of the collage is today's ornament while the rest of the collage shows the ornaments already featured. Now...please, just like Santa says....be good for goodness sake.....so your name will be the one picked from his hat. Best Wishes,

Oh Lynn..
Girl I want to go to your Thrift shop. You are finding some wonderful items. Love the tree, so cute for Pink Saturday, and I love the bird. How beautiful. You do absolutely beautiful work.

I always have a set amount that I am going to spend when I go in the store, and my husband see who can get the best bargain for that amount of money. We have so much fun. He goes one way and I the other. Sometimes we may spend 3 or more hours there looking in every nook and cranny.
It's a wonderful way to spend a day together. We also love estate sales.

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and were blessed with many special memories.

Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

Happy Pink Saturday, Lynn. You made me laugh about taking pictures in the grocery store. What?!! You mean they haven't heard about Pink Saturday?! ;-) Now, I must know what you are going to do with pictures of onions.

You are the best at find such pretty vintage pieces. My mother purchased a silver tree when I was nine years old, and I thought it was the prettiest thing ever.

Hi, Lynn! Your tinsel tree is just darling! And you're right, church sales are always the best plus the money goes to a good cause.

And the bird ornament is so neat! You are so sweet to offer it in your giveaway, Lynn! Being a magpie, it has real appeal to me, too. I'm pretty sure I have visited you last Saturday, but just in case I somehow missed, please add my name to this week's try! :-)

Happy Pink Saturday to you!

XO,

Sheila :-)

i have noticed a swathering (is that a word?) of pink and white trees this year that mimic the old tinsel trees.

Did you have a nice thanksgiving Lynn? We sure did!
Love, Dana and Daisy

p.s. we are eating the last of the leftovers tonight and then making a big pot of ham and beans with the ham hock later this week!
