Cookies were everywhere....from the kitchen, to the dining room to the living room. One mistake I learned was not having a designated cookie specific table. I should have brought in a long banquet type table but I didn't. But now I know and it gives me a good excuse to have another party next year. :)

One thing I wanted to show you is some of my finds on my treasure hunts and how I used them for the party. One thing was this very heavy, very ornate silver Italian "thing". I think it was a lamp base at one time but it made a perfect riser for a plate of cookies....a very elegant way to display them. The other thing I found was the silver deer "thing". I think it was the bottom to a chafing dish at one time. It also made a very festive holiday plate riser. Both of these I found at a Goodwill for under $3.00. And I will definitely use them on my Christmas dinner table too.

Some of my very sweet guest........sweet as the cookies they brought!

I don't know if I emailed you or told you yet, but I got my goodies! If I didn't tell you, shame on me! I was traveling off and on for two days and blogging like mad. Anyhow, I did get them and love them much. Thank you!

Oh that Mrs. Magpie always is one step ahead of me. How does she do it? LOL
Oh I wish I wish I could have been there. Everything and everyone looks sooooo beautiful. Don't you just love our generation of friends? I sure do.
I have been away yes to Vancouver this time. I was visiting Julie and other close friends. I used to live there, and miss it. It wasn't raining which was strange. The sun was shining and all was good.
Saw a live play "It's a Wonderful Life" I loved it.
So little time so many places to go.
Now may I have a cookie please since you had them everywhere?????
Love Ya

Looks like lots of FUN...I have only been to one cookie swap and it was years ago...looks like i need to have one...maybe next year. I'm having a ornament swap next week...looking forward to it. Your home looks beautiful and ready for Christmas! Hope you have a FUN Thursday!
Blessings,
Linda
that is a lot of cookies Lynn! I bet you ran out of places to put them! Now is the idea that everyone takes home an assortment of cookies? Because I can't imagine these ladies eating all these cookies in one day. Maybe if Dana and Daisy were there, ha ha!
Lynn, your home looks beautiful, and I've been wanting to have a cookie party, too. I'll have to plan earlier for next year.
Now, about all of those cookies. I wouldn't mind if you passed me one or two to have with my coffee.
Lynn it looked like a lot of yummy cookies, my all time favorite. The Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball sounded good and with graham crackers, who would of thought. The party sounded like you all had fun and those glass things with cookies on are very pretty. I wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and may the joy of the holiday brighten your spirit.
Ohhhh I wish I had been there! But then there probly wouldn't have been many cookies left.....
Your home looks beautiful and sooo inviting.

Hey Lynn~ Every time I see your photo, I think of my dream of you & laugh. I was wondering if you could post Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball served with graham crackers that is just to die for and mascarpone topped with a cranberry chutney that is spread on shortbread cookies. It sounds wonderful...even if you could just email it to me!
Oh my...how do you do the photo thingie on your blog to show your new boutique items?
Hi Lynn! Can't forgive you forgot my address... ;))

You are such an organizing queen!! I am so impressed that you held that lovely event....I'm certain your friends were, too. I organized a cookie exchange at a school where I worked when I was just a twenty something gal. There was lots of moaning and groaning from some of my teaching peers, but they all brought their cookies. After school, we set our baked batches out, and then we circled the tables (we used our cafeteria) and took some some every box. Everyone was thrilled to take home such a variety of sweets....we did that exchange for many years!
I love the uses you found for your vintage items and the wonderful favors you made for your guests.
Hope you're having a wonderful day! L, Dana
