Happy Pink Saturday ~ Dam!

No, I am not cursing at you this fine Pink Saturday morning. :) ( and yes, I do know how to spell it). D A M is the initials of my sweet sister. I recently celebrated a birthday.... a milestone birthday at which I am not particularly happy about. Let's just say I am not aging with a happy attitude (something I am trying to change), plus a bunch of yukky things happened in January that left me blue. But then this arrived from D A M. Isn't this a happy and pretty package?? Shoes and pink polka dots and pretty pink papers.

And not only that, she is not a blogger but knows all about Beverly's Pink Saturdays. Look what the card says:

And in that froth of pinkness was the most gorgeous cashmere soft pink scarf. Thank you Dam it!! I love you too.

Now that will make a girl stand up and sing (or stand up and take a picture of herself) and make her feel all better. ( I may look my age but am told I don't act it :) I think that's good thing!!)

My wish for you from the birthday girl today is that I made you smile ....maybe even made you giggle. :)

Well, now I feel bad about deciding to keep the flowers! Didn't know it was your birthday and crummy things have happened this month.

The DAM scarf is a really pretty shade. Happy birthday!

Happy Birthday, Lynn! I just choked on my coffee when I read the title to your post! Very clever and funny! Your sis is a doll to pink-up your birthday. . . . I'll bet her gift perked up your spirits a bit, too.

I hope the cruddy stuff is behind you. . . .the really bad stuff always seems to happen (in our family) in Jan, Feb and March. I hate this time of year for that reason.

Happy Pink Saturday to one of my favorite pinkies! L, Dana

It never fails. If the weather is all gray and gloomy Pink Saturday always cheers me up! This week is no exception. Your post this week is just wonderful! ♥Thank you so much for making my day a little brighter!♥

My gosh, your sister's handwriting looks a lot like my sister's - wowza!

Sending warm wishes to you from northern Michigan - where the cold winds blow and gray clouds pepper the skies.

Lynn: The link is not working to the ruche directions. It is from Janome sewing and I am trying to figure out why it is broken now. Basically, You stitch in an unbroken V after V down the length of a strip of ribbon or fabric. Then pull to ruffle. Of course, it is a different ruffle than the straight stitch one.
