Silver Sunday Remix

Shortly before Christmas I found this beautiful old silver "stand" at a GW. It's very heavy and very ornate. I think it was the base of an old lamp. I loved it! Like so many of you who like to repurpose or remix the fabulous old things we find, (that's a very French thing to do you know....did you know that?) :) I decided it would make a fabulous base for a cake stand. I used it during the holidays at the cookie party and at our family Christmas dinner. Can you think of another use for it? Happy Silver Sunday and hope your new week is just wonderful! I was just over at another Silver Sunday poster and she had her Vintage gazing ball. Wouldn't one look super on your stand?

That is so beautiful. I'm sure I wouldn't have thought to use it like this, but it's so great with the crystal plate on top. Have a wonderful day!

That *is* a pretty one. I never thought of putting a plate on one. I use them with fat candles. That's the only use I can ever come up with anything I see. Stick a candle in it/on it.
