Silver Sunday Shakers

Silver Sunday Shakers......aren't these fabulous? For your next formal dinner party (or not so formal if you are like me :). A set for each end of the table. They are little miniatures, each resting on a petite silver tray.....only measuring 3-1/8" x 2-1/4". I was on my way home the other day and stopped at this new place out here......not much there yet but back in the corner, almost hidden, were these tiny little treasures. I almost didn't stop because I was in a hurry to get home but I know those of us that love "treasure hunting" know the lure. :) Happy Silver Sunday and please stop by the Gypsy Fish Journal for a whole month of Sundays amazing silver collection.

well those sets are too pretty to "shake up", but I have seen the cutest necklaces made with one little tiny shaker as the pendant. the ribbon it was strung on threaded right through the little shker top openings. you could even poke something cute inside or maybe keep your secrets in side!

Isn't it wonderful how we can just "find" those hidden gems amidst so much "stuff"...

Isn't it wonderful how we "decide" to go in that spot we almost "passed" by?

Isn't it wonderful that there are blogland "friends" just dying to see all the mighty (and the small)treasures which have been unearthed?

And I count myself among the list of friends!
Very cute!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYNN...January 17th. Just wanted to drop by to let you know that I am thinking about you today. When I first started CollectInTexas Gal last August, you were my FIRST Collector to Collect, and the FIRST to Welcome me to BlogLand! I appreciated that so very much. You know, we both have a very special GrandChild to Celebrate our Birthdays with this Year. I'm going to have Chocolate cake with my 4 month old BabyBubba. Have a Grand Birthday, Lynn!

Those are the cutest little shakers on their own tray! I have been haunting my local thrift shop for something like them...if I wasn't specifically looking, there would be an overabundance, but so far nothing!
