White Wednesday ~ Going to the Dogs

A White Wednesday Thank You from our Furry Friends

Let's see now. Do I watch the Olympics tonight, Lost or the Westminster Dog Show? The Olympics only come every four years so I don't want to miss that, especially the skaters. And I have been watching Lost since it's first season and I really need to know what happens between Jack, Kate and my favorite, hunky Sawyer, and I really want to know where Vincent is. But........... my heart is at the Westminster Dog Show. After all, it's full of mystery, sexy canines with flowing hair and gleaming teeth, fluff and flaunt, adorableness, glamour, athletic prowess and antics. I loved watching the beagle trot around the ring, with a "grin" on his face like he had just stolen the poodle's treats. By now you are probably wondering what in the heck does this have to do with White Wednesday! I am stretching it a bit but that sweet puppy retriever up there is a blonde.......close enough to white I think, and he is saying Thank You to each and every one of you that have supported The Vintage Nest boutique and my blog since its inception. The Vintage Nest is my passion and because of you I am able to keep it going, enjoying my dream and having so much fun at the same time. I am so excited to announce that in 2010 we will be donating a portion of the boutique sales to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, where all animals are cared for and placed. Our own sweet dog, Ben, was a rescue dog and I cannot ever begin to tell you the joy and love he has brought us. And so thanks to you we can give a home and love to more beautiful animals. Together we can make a difference.

And now please just click here for more wonderful White Wednesday posts today. Kathleen of FadedCharm is the hostess of this fun day and she is a source of so much inspiration. See you Saturday for Pink goodness and don't forget to sign up for the best Easter give-away ever at the Shabby Lane Shops and tell them I sent you. The click badge is right up there at the top on the right side bar or just click here. :) Bye now.

Oops.....I almost forgot. Had to show you this adorable painting I found some time ago. I just love it. It's definitely shows it's amateurish side but I think these little Toto terrier dogs are the cutest. Talk about irresistible charm!

oh what a beautiful, beautiful dog you have here. He is so sweet. I always donate to our local animal shelter. I don't own a dog but I make sure all my extra blankets given to me by clients get to the shelter along with anything else they could use.

That is so sweet of you. I wanted to tell you that I love the switch that I purchased from you. I am going to put it on one of my blogs so people can scoot over and see what other treasures you have. I wonder if they have any English Bull Dogs in the show:)

G'eve Lynn ~ Love the pooches story ... they melt hearts. Our best 'friends' were all rescued from the pounds.

How about a quiet eve ... no TV, just a good book, a sweet pooch curled up & silence.

Hugs, Marydon

Good Morning Sweet Lynn...
Oh sweetie, I so love Ben. He has the sweetest little face. I tell you they just melt our hearts don't they? He has the warmest eyes and sure looks happy. He got a sweet deal too. He got a loving home with you and DH. So wonderful of you to give back to the shelter.

Thank you for sharing sweetie. Hope you are well. Stop by soon. Country hugs sweetie and so much love...Sherry

Sigh I just hate it when there are 3 things on and I want to watch all of them...then other nights there is zero, zip and zilch on !!!
Our dogs have always been rescue or found in the swamp :) and so are our cats. There are so many in need of homes I wish everyone would take at least one.

Those dogs are so cute and it is generous of you to donate to the shelter. I like the picture, our neighbor has a dog like these, he barks every time a person or car goes by and he looks so cute this winter with his different sweaters on.What did you finally decide to watch? Have a nice week.

I love your post today and who can resist these adorable pooches. We are thinking about getting a new puppy this spring and this gets me excited. Our golden retriever is pretty lonely since our other dog passed away and he needs a friend.

Enjoy your day.

Lynn that is a wonderful thing to do, donating to a shelter. All my life I've adopted my pets from shelters, and I've been rewarded with years of love and affection!
I watched the dog show and loved the little black dog (Sophie?) that won! I'd seen her a couple of weeks ago when she won the Eukanuba show.

We brought home our Rudi from a shelter. He was sick, emaciated and heartbroken. Five years later I can't imagine my life without my sweet beast. I commend you for supporting shelters.

Hi Lynn....

It was so good to see that cutie-patootie little Scotty win........I don't have one, but they sure are cute!

My Mum was such a skating fan.....I can bear to watch the Olympics without her.

Warm blessings,
Spencer
