Pink Saturday ~ Fluffy the Pink Bunny

I could not resist yesterday and bought some whisper soft pink fresh tulips at the market. They were pricey but they made me happy and I love them in my old rabbit vase.......don't you? I went outside and picked some branches from the peach tree to add to the tulips and it's already opening up its buds in the warm water.

Is this not the most precious old book you have ever seen? The book is the best faded shabby blue and loaded with vintage patina. You can tell this sweet vintage book was well loved and read many, many times with its scotch tape bound spine and tattered corners. The hand written inscription on the inside indicates it was a Christmas gift in 1945. And this is the most precious part about it........ the pink bunny.....Fluffy, is flocked on all the pages.... I have never seen this before......perfectly.....adorably.....incredibly sweet. I know some little boy or girl loved running their fingers on that bunny. How perfect to use in an Easter vignette for the season. I just listed this in the boutique in time for Beverly's Pink Saturday at "How Sweet the Sound". For more precious pinks just click here. And I wish you the happiest of Pink Saturdays. I hope you are having the touch of warmish weather we are having.

How absolutely adorable! I used to have some books like that (flocked) when I was a little girl. I think they had previously belonged to my mother and aunt. I have no idea where they ended up over the years because they are not in my collection of antique books.

This is the most adorable children s book I have ever seen. You are right about the children running their fingers over the bunny. We are having a little heat wave in the low 40s and sunny. Have a nice weekend.

Ms. Lynn, that is an adorable book and is almost my mom's age. Nothing better than green or faded shades of blue to go with pink. Just like you I always stop and wonder about this things. That makes so hard for me to understand why some people get rid of their memories. We can't keep it all, but some things seem so personal to me. I can imagine the little ones going thru those pages. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed PINK weekend, Marta.

Lynn, how adorable is that! It is hard to come by flocked items any more. I know I get so excited whenever I find a pretty card with flocking or sparkles on it! Happy Pink Saturday and enjoy your weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi

How can you part with that awesome book, Lynn? It is wonderful. I love old childrens books, too, and I picked up a couple at a thrift store some time ago that were rabbit related....now I can't find where I stashed them. :)

I'm crazy about the pillow case dresses you're making! What a terrific use of those lovely linens! You're so creative!!!!

I hope you have a wonderful Pink Sat. I have to head down to the craft cave...I have a sale next weekend. L, Dana

I adore this beautiful post. The tulips are just beautiful, so soft and pretty. The book is just precious, and each page is so perfect. I too can imagine a Grammy sitting and reading this story to the little ones, and the childs little hands touching each page with excitement as the story moves forward. Oh Lynn this is so precious. Your music selection was just perfect.

Thank you for sharing today. Country hugs and much love...Sherry

What an adorable book...that Bunny on the cover is a wonderful image...as are the pages you have shown. That's really unique how they flocked the bunny!

I'm enjoying sunny skies and in the 60's today...does this mean Spring really is coming?? :0)

This is my favorite style bunny of all times. Just adorable. I love all things related to bunnies.
My nieces little girl just became owner of a real bunnie and his name is Bun-Bunn. Fluffy was passed over along with Peter!
Haha! Enjoy your spring weather.
