Silver Sunday ~ What’s On Top of Your Fridge?

I love the juxtaposition of the old SILVER wine bucket filled with rolling pins, the vintage pottery pitchers, the shabby metal marshmallow tin and the wooden advertising box. The contrast gives so much interest to an otherwise very boring spot…..the top of my refrigerator. :) What’s on top of yours? Happy Silver Sunday. I am so happy to be here today and thank you Beth, of Gypsy Fish Journal, for this fun day. Click here for lots more sistas of silver.

My fridge is a built in, so there is probably nothing but dust! Before the remodel, I had my parakeet in it's cage on the fridge. Not a great idea. Every time you opened the door, seed rained down!

Top of fridge: a pink and purple round tray and next months page of the calendar, sugar! I don't like a lot of stuff on my fridge at all and what is on there has to be froufrou, pretty and mostly PINK! LOL

I have a decorative wine box, a propped up tray and a crystal decanter on top of my fridge...albeit they're probably all sitting on a pile of dust!

Hi Lynn
Well I am loving that shabby marshmallow tin on your fridge!!! tons of character! All that is on top of my fridge is a lazy susan [very lazy...I don't use it...] and I suspect a bunch of dust... as kids we used to climb on top of the fridge.. drove our mother nuts! haha.. but thinking about that now it probably gave it a good dusting..! have a great sunday and thanks for popping over... xx Julie

Besides dust, I keep a vintage doll bed to hold our bread on top of our fridge. Love your ice bucket I have mine in my bathroom holding my makeup! See you soon... Theresa

DUST BUNNIES!!! Ha! I was thinking of glittering them up and using them for Easter! LOL Hey- here is a crafty challenge- name all the things you can craft with dust bunnies. No, don't. I am really only kidding.
I think I'll go clean now!
Sparkle dust and hugs,
Tobi :)

Great vignette up there, love the silver bucket and piggy. I have a collection of French-y copper pots and trays and pitchers. Since I'm short, dusting is an issue with anything out of reach!

Interesting question! I am afraid to look at the moment. I do have a yellow ware pitcher like you though, but not on top of my fridge.

Upon looking, I was happy to see a glass cake plate with a dome cover, a white cookie jar and my blender. Not too bad. The blender needs to go but the rest looks pretty darn good!
Love your new banner!

Well now you have made me rethink the decorative cereal and cracker boxes on top of my fridge! Tomorrow I will be redecorating that area...yours looks great.

I have a cabinet above my fridge so there's no decorating space (just a lot of unused recipe books in the cabinet).
I like the combination of items on your fridge...great vintage stuff!

Love what's on your fridge. Mine has a wire basket with milk bottles filling it and an old red Dr. Pepper crate. I love diet Dr. Pepper so that was a happy find for me.

Nope you wouldn't want to see the top of my fridge. I just love the marshmallow tin. That would work for my kitchen.

Oh Lynn Sweetie...
What a beautiful setting you have on top of your fridge. I don't think I could share what is on top of mine. It needs a SPRING cleaning for sure. Probably dust is up there. Your collage is just beautiful and I thank you so much for sharing with me today.

I pray you are having a glorious day sweetie. The sun is shining here and by the middle of the week, we are back in to the mid 70's. The reason I so love Phoenix.

Have a good one. Country hugs sweetie...Sherry

I'm with Beth on this one...no, not, showing what's up there until the vintage vignette fairy pays me a visit.
Love yours though.
Could I ask what town you shared in your last post about junkin' with your mom...and Santa?
Enjoyed the perfect touch of silver...just enough to make a wooden rollin pin show off!
Happy SILVER SUNDAY Blessings ;-)

I have school papers, newspapers and to much junk cluttering the top of my Fridge. I need to find something else so it will look as awesome as yours. Wonderful display I would never have thought of doing that thank you.

What a great collection to go on top of your refrigerator. Looks great!

My tall husband uses the cabinets over the fridge for his coffee "go mugs"...so I can't keep stuff on top of the fridge as they'd be in his way. I sure like the top of yours, though! Silver with a shabby marshmallow tin...is so clever! Great vignette.
Thanks for sharing and Happy Silver Sunday!

PS. I'm launching my blogaversary celebration tomorrow. I'd love to have you stop in to say "hi".

We usually keep a huge tray filled with our bread and chips! Yours is much prettier! And has given me inspiration to 'revamp' the top of our fridge! :)

Sorry to say only dust is on the top of mine. However, you have inspired me to do something more creative!

Nola @ the Alamo said...

Even your fridge top looks fashionable. I have rolling pins in an old lard bucket on top of my fridge, but they are covered in a thick layer of dust!

Jenny S said...

Old tins and a pig?? How could I not love it....are you sure we are not related???hehehe!

I can't have anything on top of fridge, because it is built in, Those things are really nice, like every one of them.

Hi Lynn, I really like using silver wherever I can. That rolling pin in there looks fantastic. Also liked the baby shoe in your latest post. I still have one pair of mine. Stop by- I have a give-away. hugs, Sue
