White Wednesday ~ Awwwwww!

Couldn't you just scream? Are these not the most precious things you have ever seen? Found these today on my treasure hunt. They are the most worn out, polished and repolished, vintage white baby toddler shoes I have ever seen. But the sweetest thing about them is the message the Momma wrote on the soles of these adorable pieces of the past.

" Steve rubbed this on the bed rail. Dec. 1957 wore to March 1958."

Perfect for a sweet vignette in the decor or to hang in a new baby nursery. I have just listed these in The Vintage Nest boutique. Thank you Kathleen of Faded*Charm for hosting this fun day. For lots more Wonderful Whites just click here. I will see you all later on this week. Have fun where ever you are. :)

Oh, that's so sweet it brought a tear to my eyes! How could anyone part with something that meant so much to that Mama? Well, that's my sentiment, that's why I have a garage, an attic, and a house full of nostalgic old treasures!

It's always fun to have a little story behind an item. What a great mom to write it down.

Steve was a well loved baby. How funny to think of a baby named Steve in a our world of odd names now wearing little sneakers!
Lovely post.

I just love the note on the bottom of the shoes. That is what makes any piece special, the thoughts and the family history. Absolutely precious.
