The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

 Where Bloggers Create

I decided to let it "all hang out" and let you see my workspace/studio/office in it's unadulterated messy full glory and as Dolly Parton so eloquently put it,  "my arts and crap  craft room",  nothing fancied or dolled up for you.....what you see is what you get.  It's the way I work everyday,........HOWEVER if any of you want to come on by and spend a few days with me,  I would love to have you help me fancify The Vintage Nest.  I would like a pretty floral office chair cover and while we are at it,  a sweet ruffled skirt for the computer desk would be nice too.  A nice floral hooked rug on the floor and then maybe a covering for my 18ft long work table Bobby G. built me would be oh so nice too.  Just to help you out a bit, the bones of the office are great.  I just brought in a gorgeous old shabby white armoire and a sweet old little white  kitchen work chest,  so we will have to lots to work with.  I pay great wages.....which are a pretty room to sleep in and great summertime meals.  So what do think?  hmmmm?  While you ponder this awesome  proposition I invite you to view some photos of where Lynn creates.

Many, many thanks to Karen Valentine of My Desert Cottage for hosting this awesome blog party, "Where Bloggers Create".  The prizes are awesome and so is she.  There are so many fabulous work spaces to visit.  Just click here to whisk you right over there.

And thank you to Beverly of Pink Saturday.  I am linking to her party too because she said I could. :)

****  I hope you enjoyed this little tour of "where I work" everyday.  I am so blessed to have a "room of my own" and a "room with a view".   Happy Saturday....now I am off to treasure hunt.    xoxo

I think I could get happily lost here....What a beautiful room. I'm happy for you that you have a place like this.
Gorgeous.

Pick me, pick me, I would love to come and visit you! Of course I wouldn't say I would do much to fancy up that already gorgeous area but I can pretend to be a wonderful designer, just to get to visit you.
Do you think it would take a long time to get there from Australia?

Actually, I have not a clue about doing a cute room as I didn't even get the space cleaned but stop by sometime, if you wish! My daughter, Kat and I are are three months old (in blog time) and are a mother/daughter jewelry making team.

I would *love* an 18 foot long table ... which would eventually (24 hrs or less) yield about a foot of usable workspace as I piled things on it. But still -- 18 feet! Lucky you! -amy

Your space is so lovely - I think you have just the kind of knack for creating that makes everything just go together and look inspiring. I really love the way you think - just showing it like it is. Most of us that are creative are at least a little bit messy and some of us are a lot messy. (Ha!) Thanks for sharing your space with us today.

Blessings,
Tricia

It's not messy Lynn. Not at all! Just goes to show you are overflowing with creativity. You just have to surround yourself with lots of inspiration ;-)

Love the dress forms. I don't sew but I know I'll find a place and a purpose for it LOL Ok, seriously now :-)And that vintage nest sign you have in the first picture is just perfect.

I also love the party hats. You have lots! I guess, whenever you want, you can always throw up a party and have that hats ready :-)

You know, about your proposition, I may not be as crafty in sewing but thinking of spending time there and eating (which I'm sure) deliciously home-cooked meals, I'd be sure to give it a try and lend a helping hand one way ot the other LOL Thin is, I might have to think of the plane fair and the number of hours it'll take just to get there :-) tsk tsk tsk too bad. Well, it was fun thinking about it LOL

Nah, but I'm sure some of these lovely ladies (and more talented than me - who will meet your needs) who lives a bit closer would love to drop by. Wouldn't that be fun? Oh there must be someone just like you. If there is, you better share pics :-)

Mizpah,
Li

By the year 2011 I vow to visit every share in this fun tour! Lynn, I love how creatively you presented your arts and crap room. That quote is a riot! I also loved, loved, loved some of the humorous wit and quotes at the bottom of your blog page. My kind of girl...a great sense of humor. First, your view is to die for! Second, if the view didn't do you in, an 18 foot work table would certainly do the trick!!! Love the flavor of what you've shown as well as the "dreams for the future" ideas you have rumbling around in the thought stages. Xo, Sue
