It's such a simple thing......really it is. Making your own soap. For days, months ......the last year or two, I have complained to Bobby G. about the cost of groceries, paper products and home cleaning aids. The other day, I found the most awesome blog, Lemonade Makin' Mama. She had a wonderful (and funny) post on making your own laundry detergent and I decided to try it. SUCCESS! And I love it! And, confessions of a laundry hating chore person, it makes the job so much more fun. Putting that detergent in the cool glass jar (yard sale find - 50 cents) with the little slot to slide in a label and metal lid, is such a little thing but it celebrates the moment of a job well done and a change in our lifestyle. Raising chickens, making my own sugar scrub and now my own detergent....what's next? It's the little things that can make a big difference. Nothing profound, nothing thought provoking, nothing unexpected here today on "Tuesday's Unwrapped". Just a little tip from me to you that could make big change (get it?) :) in your household and pocket. I take pleasure in doing the laundry now. :)
Today I am so thrilled to join Emily, of that fabulous blog "Chatting at the Sky". She host a blog feature once a week called Tuesdays Unwrapped. In her words, Tuesdays Unwrapped is about celebrating the small things, taking the time to unwrap the little secret things of the everyday. And in my words, to share a moment that may otherwise disappear under a pile of laundry. :) I hope you will click here to meet some new bloggers and see what it's all about. They will make you think, laugh, grin, and maybe even shed a tear.

Love your Bliss picture in the sidebar. Nothing compares to a good book on a beautiful beach.
Your soap box is adorable. That sounds like so much fun, making your own detergent; I may have to add it to my never ending "to do" list!
And it's all about the soap!! Considering the number of loads I do each week, this may be something to try.
What a beautiful glass jar. I think everything looks better in a glass jar. Now I need to try making my own laundry soap and find a cool jar. Thanks for visiting earlier.
I have always tossed around the idea of making my own detergent... I will have to try it now!
