PINK Eye Glass Necklace ???

Pink Eye Glass Necklace??????

No...not pinkeye   glass necklace but PINK eye glass necklace.........because I know that's the way some of you read it. :) hehe (that hehe is my cackle....practicing for the fast approaching Halloween season)   For the ever so sweet Beverly over at How Sweet the Sound's Pink Saturday, I wanted to show you what I have been working on for The Vintage Nest shop.  Do you like altered art?  What's your favorite genre of it?  I suppose I have been altering things long before there was a cool name for it but never jewelry.  But lately that's exactly what I have been having a blast creating.......and the more I create the more I am treasure hunting for old stuff to use in this new endeavor of mine,  "Fanciful Neck Adornments"........totally seeing coins, old keys,  typewriter (remember those?) buttons and old patinaed drawer pulls......all in a different light.  I let out a whoop of delight when I found this fun piece last weekend.  It was already "altered" and I love it, for it combined my love of old paper ephemera with this new jewelry making passion. Someone turned a snippet from an old greeting card......a lovely pink carnation and blue forget-me-nots....into a brooch made from an old eyeglass lens.  Is that captivating or what???  I have combined it with old world French script stamped vintage seam binding, vintage lace and paper beads, hand rolled from old sheet music, tinted pink and tipped in gold.  It's edgy and romantic and would look great with that oversized boyfriend jacket and a simple t-shirt and jeans.  I love the look and hope you do too. Many of my pieces make a simple statement that speaks volumes about our love of nature with a personal style. I would love to extend an invitation to my fabulous blogging friends  to view my necklaces here and should you wish to purchase one a discount will be gladly given.  Just note a "blogging friend" in the notes section on the purchase invoice and I will refund you right away.

...................thank you all for signing up for my give-away. And a big thank you to all who shared my give-away on their own blogs.  It was fun and I will do another soon.    ............... No fancy thing-a-ma-jig for picking the winner....just a hand stuck in my basket of paper written names.  Works just fine! :)

And the winner isssssssssssssssss

HMMMMM????  She's got a really cute blog and she's always cooking up something fun and there's really rockin' good music there..... WOOHOO!!

 Congratulations :)

Now go have a beautiful holiday weekend y'all!

Good Morning Lynn Sweetie...
Oh what a busy PINK girl you have been. I love all the necklaces, but the little birds nest is so precious and how creative is the eye glass lens. Now that is Stinkin Darn Cute. Who would have thought we could recycle those old wire frames?

Congratulations BJ sweetie. I am so thrilled for you. It could not have been won by a more generous or kind Pinkie. Hugs sweet friend.

Oh Lynn, thank you for sharing. As always, I so enjoyed my visit. You are such a delight. I am so enjoying my blanket, let me tell you. It has not been replaced as of yet. With the triple digits we are still having it may be there all winter.

Love ya sweetie. Have a gorgeous weekend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
