Practical Magic ~ the Movie ~ It's a Party!

 It's a Party....A Practical Magic Party
 Welcome My Pretties
The broom fell which must mean company is coming....

" and oh my sweet, there you are!  Come on in......and sit a spell.  Oh the boots in the rose garden.....don't mind him at all.  He was bothering us and now he's not.  We just gave him a taste of his own medicine......... a 'special potion' if you will.  The only drawback that I can see,  but then I rather like it, is that there are now black roses in the garden, lots and lots and lots of them and it's almost winter"   hehehe

Please do come in and join us.  We know you will love it here for there is a little witch in all of us......don't you think?  And where being normal is not necessarily a virtue.  We love to have chocolate for breakfast and never brush out teeth.  Can you flip pancakes and ride a pony backward and is your favorite shape a star?  Then you are invited to our breakfast.  Let me serve you our best cupcakes and a little bit of our special tea.

I have some very special hats for you to try on for there is a party tonight.   We made these just for you and not a floppy one in the bunch.   One is ever so much fun, created from the blackest papers and  spun silk webs and glittered spiders and lots and lots of cascading curls....

The other is ever so chic, created from the most fragile of black ribbon, all frou frou on top, and swirling black and white papers. An old watch piece will let us know the bewitching hour.....so devilishly stylish.   Yours to choose for the grand gala tonight.

We'll search  our olden book for a very special recipe....... a brew of fun and fantasy we'll find.

We'll create a stir with our Mid Night Margaritas .......just flip the switch and let the cauldron bubble and we'll
jangle our bones 'til the midnight hour.

Now  won't you come with me?  We'll put a sign on the door to let the "others" know we'll be flying on this fabulously moon lit autumnal night.

A big thank you to Justina and Anna for hosting this fabulous day of practical magic and fun.  There are ever so many more flying ladies that have joined in on the fun.  Just click here for the whole list.

And I am also linking up to the French Cupboard and the Autumn Art party.  For more fun Autumn and spooky ideas just click here.

The fun Halloween party hats are available here at my website.
The "Spell Book" and "Witches Brew" potion bottles, also available on my website, have sold.  Thank you.

Music from the soundtrack of Practical Magic:  Put the Lime in the Coconut by Harry Nilsson:  Got to Give It Up by Marvin Gaye

Women are angels.....And when someone breaks our wings....We simply continue to fly....on a broomstick....We are flexible like that.

I agree with the others, this is such a fun post, and as usual you have out done yourself on the creations. My favorite is the first had, it is adorable, I don't know where you come up with your ideas, but keep them coming. I like the little poem at the end. Have a nice weekend.

Fun, fun, fun!! I adore your post. It just makes me happy. The boots in the garden can be a problem sometimes but I'm sure the potion you have in those wonderful bottles should take care of it. Love all your wonderful things. Thank you for sharing your magic at our party. I had a blast!

OK...this was such a terrific post, Lynn!!! I loved every bit of your spooky share!! You have now officially put me in the mood to drag out my witches and ghosts and other ghoulish treasures!!

Our Tag Sale was a HUGE success. We got lucky and had several dealers come by and "load up". A couple of dealers were in town for the Chiefs football game...they were from CA and own an antique shop and were going nuts over our items and the prices. They can't get stuff like ours in CA for the price. All in all it was great....gotta finish packing stuff up this afternoon....then we have to work like crazy because we have a fall sale in 2 weeks. I lots of my handmades at the tag sale, too! It was great.

Hope you've had a wonderful weekend!!! L, Dana

PS the Field Sale sounds like an awesome idea!!! I can see tents with cornstalks and pumpkins and tons of vintage treasures!!!

dana said...

I just left a big message and somehow managed to make it disappear!! :) I love this spooky post, Lynn. You make the best stuff!!!

Our Tag Sale was wonderful and well worth the super hard effort. We had many dealers come by and stock up!! That helps...plus I sold lots of my Halloween handmades, too. We have to finish packing up today...then hit the craft rooms as we have a Halloween Sale in two weeks.

Love your Field Sale idea!! What a fun fall treasure hunt that would be!!!

Love, Dana
