Pink Church for Pink Saturday

While we were at the beach last week,  I got to visit the quaint little fishing village of Southport, N.C. Tucked away just below Wilmington and the mouth of the Cape Fear River and just 45 minutes or so above the South Carolina state line, you'll find this charming seaside settlement. It's full of cute boutiques and little antique places and a perfect walking town. Southport is where the movie "Crimes of the Heart", starring Sissy Spacek and Diane Keaton was filmed, as well as several Oprah movies. And Southport was also a location for scenes of the popular TV show Dawson's Creek. Just a short way up the road is the cutest gathering of tiny gaily painted gift shops and I mean really tiny. These were all homes at one time that were moved to create this little village of shops. And there is a little pink church, now converted to a tea house......The Pink Place Tea Room. I was so captivated by the village that I totally forgot my "pink moment", which my sister reminded me of. Isn't it amazing how our families and friends are into our Pink Saturdays too? She snapped a photo of me on the front steps of this delightful little tea room.

Happy Pink Saturday and many thanks to Beverly of 'How Sweet the Sound' for hosting this fun day. Just click here for a whole list of pinkness.  ROAD TRIP!   I am off again this coming week traveling the hi-ways and by-ways of my fair state. A blogging friend, I have never met before, is traveling all the way from the wonderful peach state of Georgia to visit and we are hitting the road. I will be back later to tell you all about it. I am so excited! I can't wait to tell you who it is! :)  Until then...........

P.S. I want to post more about the beach trip but blogger is driving me crazy with it's problems.  I keep getting error messages, pictures won't load, can't leave comments.....is anyone else experiencing these problems?  This have been going on for weeks now.

Happy Pink Saturday Lynn Sweetie...
What a gorgeous share today. I love this little pink church and it has been turned into a tea room. Oh how beautiful, and I love the photo of you sitting out front.

Love all their Fall decorations, the pumpkins and fall foliage. How beautiful it looks.

Can't wait to see who the Georgia peach is that is coming to meet you, and you are going shopping with.

I too have been having problems with blogger today. It has been quite frustrating.

Have a safe journey sweet friend. I will be anxiously awaiting your return to see who it is that is coming for a visit and photos of all of the wonderful trip you are about to take. What fun.

Many hugs and so much love, Sherry

ooh, that little pink tearoom is spectacular. I would love to take tea there. IT's gotta taste better than usual, don't you think? I mean, those pink surroundings would make anything extra special.

Have a great road trip with your new friend.

Blessings,

My husband and I love Southport, but we haven't been able to go this year. We love to stay at Kure Beach, and we take the ferry across to Southport.

And, I adore this little village. I'll definitely have to find it on our next trip.

What a wonderful little city of tiny shops, and the Pink Palace Shoppe is so pretty. Have a fun time and find lots of vintage. Did I see white pumpkins in front of one of the shops, yep I do.
