White Wednesday ~ Winter Carnival Santa

In the spirit of Julie Andrews........spinning, arms out, on top of the mountain in the movie, The Sound of Music, I embrace Christmas.   Combining my love for white, Christmas and the seashore,  The Vintage Nest has created this gorgeous large Winter Carnival white Santa.   He wears a coat of white felt and faux fur with a collar of vintage lace and an undercoat of gold threaded lace and topped with a hand fashioned gold and white tapestry rosette.   His porcelain face is hand painted and sports a full white curly beard.  He is festooned from head to toe with found treasures from the sea......... starfish, pearls and shells,  most all tinted with gold and glitter.   The piece de resistance and the portion of this creative work that defies the common, is his lantern or, if you will, his vintage tassel.  7" of layers and layers of glorious vintage beads  in worn gold and amber.    He is quite grand, standing two feet tall and loaded with romantic and coastal chic style.  Sure to become a favored heirloom piece and treasured for years.

I would love to extend a  discount to any of my blogging friends on this Santa or any of the items in the shop.  Just type in the code word special on the order page and hit recalculate.   And a big thank you to Kathleen of that wonderful blog "Faded Charm".  You can just click here to find a whole world of wonderful whites!
