Give Thanks Party

(Amendment:  Several bloggers were a tad late posting their Give Thanks post.  I will leave the party participant list up on my sidebar for a week or so for late party goers. :)   xoxo

I am so grateful and GIVE THANKS for all the men and women serving our country today,  past and present.  They are essential to the strength of our nation and well being of our community.  I have been guilty in the past of only displaying our American flag on holidays such as Fourth of July or Memorial Day.  But I can't think of a better day than Thanksgiving to salute and say a prayer for our protectors.  So this is my front porch today.
  THANK YOU........

Dear Friends, I was so overwhelmed and filled with gratitude at all your support and signing up for my first party.  This place called blog land truly is amazing. The list of all who are participating today is over there on my right side bar. Click on each one's name to be whisk to their blog.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Without further ado I would like to announce that Mercedes Scott of the blog All Things Pretty  is the WINNER of the new French inspired e-magazine, "Belle Inspiration".   I promise you, you are going to love flipping through the beautiful pages of the holiday edition.  (Look for me and my memory trees...I am in it :)  Congratulations and I will have the delightful Mimi send your copy out right away.

I was so excited at the number of participants that I decided to draw  two winner's names out of Bobby G'.s cowboy hat..yeehaw!  I picked up this wonderful hand crafted vintage Santa brooch last week and would like to send it to the sweetest digger in the world, Margaret of that ever so fun facts blog "Old Digger".

A huge THANK YOU to all who participated and all who are reading and a wonderful and fabulous THANKSGIVING DAY to all. xoxoxo

What a great party to be a part of, dear Lynn! As the wife of a veteran, I can't begin to tell how much your gratitude means. I love the flags in the basket with your turkey. I can imagine families doing this during WWII as they were a generation filled with pride over their soldiers.

I can't wait to visit everyone.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving week.

Hi Lynn, Thank you for hosting this wonderful event. I have just spent hours reviewing photos...and reliving events. It was such a wonderful time for me to reflect on the events of the last year!

I am so thankful I met you via blogging. I so hope, one day, that we can meet in person. I'm pretty sure we are kindred spirits!

I loved your post so much. Yes, we must honor our military at all times. We would be lost without them.

Thankful thoughts of you, dana

Wow Lynn, I don't know how I missed signing up for your first party?! I've been so busy at work, doing double duty. I hope your first party is a huge success and I'll be reading everyone else's posts.
I couldn't agree with you more on your post today, THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO SERVE and sacrifice so much! And I LOVE the idea of displaying our Flag at Thanksgiving! In January of 2001 I bought a 7' tall white Christmas tree on clearance dirt cheap. I didn't know what I was going to do with it or how I would decorate it, but it was SO cheap I couldn't pass it up. Then 911 happened and suddenly it was very clear how I would decorate it. That fall I started collecting Americana ornaments, small flags and red and blue lights. By the time Christmas rolled around I had enough stuff to decorate my tree in a Red, White and Blue theme and it was beautiful. Have a wonderful weekend, Nan

Lynn, I'm sorry I'm late to the party, but I was tied up all day yesterday with workmen and went to bed exhausted where I remained ALL day. Not being lazy. Honest.

I agree with you, I am so thankful for our armed services who sacrifice so much that we may be free. I love them one and all and you, too.

I'm going to be a little late visting the other participants, but I plan to visit as I can!

XO,

Sheila who is thankful for you friendship!

Hi, I knew I was going to be too busy this week with fun fall activities for grandparents and grandchildren to be able to fully participate, so I didn't sign up. BUT I did save your url so I could come visit some of the ones who did. I LOVE autumn and this sounded like so much fun! Thank you for keeping it up for those, like me, who are running a tad behind. :) And, HAPPY THANKSGIVING! :)
