Thank you to Laura of that fabulous, beautiful and funny blog, Decor to Adore, for hosting a bevy of parties in honor of the British couple, Prince William and Catherine, soon to be wed. If you haven't heard about this wedding, then you must still be buried under a mound of snow. :) Just click here to see all the amazing parties, some Royally Scrumptious and some, fit for a Queen. Why there is even a real live party for those that are so fortunate to live nearby, an ugly bridesmaid dress contest, a white elephant wedding gift contest, bad hat party and prizes...really super royal prizes. It's not too late to join in the fun so get on over there.

Welcome to my party....... a party honoring the Queen Great Grand Mum. Huh? There is no Queen Great Grand Mother you say. Well.....let's just pretend. Let's just skip ahead and pretend the now married royal couple have had a royal baby and today I am giving a
"Royally Scrumptious" Tea Party
welcoming the new baby into her royal world.
(I am assuming it's a sweet baby girl so I could do pink :)
It's an afternoon dessert tea party
So take a breath from today's busy world and join us in the hospitality and civility of a tea party. Calm conversation over fine bone china, etched with delicate pink roses, sweet vintage ceramic baby shoes, delicate old crochet lace, miniature roses, and pink sweet treats, all preceded by elegant written invitations to a few intimate friends.
A centerpiece of deep pink miniatures roses wrapped in a delicate old embroidered doily is surrounded by sweet confections of pink and white cupcakes with extra sprinkles and flanked by tall elegant old candlesticks.
Delicate vintage gold trimmed plates and cups, etched with soft pink roses , just wait to be filled with tempting sweet pink treats. Wonderful old linen tea napkins side with tiny vintage baby spoons, here used as our tea stirrers.
I am so honored to have you visit my virtual tea party. The sweet rose dessert plates, teacups, and candelabra are from The Vintage Nest shop and have sold. The charming vintage floral decorated sugar cubes can be found here but being vintage they are just pretty for display...not to use. Cupcakes and roses from the local grocery store. The pretty embroidered and crochet pieces, old tea pot, cake plate, vintage silver sugar spoon and sweet vintage baby shoes are from my collection.....a collection of shoes I started when my own grand-daughter was born. A collection now numbering about 35 and growing.

I am also joining Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday. If you love pink you will think you have landed in a swirl of cotton candy at this party. From New York city to L.A., pink on Saturday is what's happening. And new for me this week, I am thrilled to join Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for her famous TableScapes Thursday, a weekly setting of beautiful table settings for entertaining and everyday living. Thank you Susan.
See you next time. :)

What a fun visit for Pink Saturday! I still remember when Diana married Charles - my children and their friends were quite enthralled and would have loved these kinds of parties. Nowadays, life is busier and my grandchildren haven't gotten into it all. But I have to admit, I do enjoy reading the headlines about it now and again. And I LOVED your cute decor for your tea party. Thank you for a delightful visit. :)
WOW, I don't know where to start. I love it all, but the sugar cubes are the best. They look so yummie you would never want to use them anyway.
