My Petite Place

"Ma'am........Ma'am"   I hear as I am working in my new booth at MAC aka Midlo Antiques Center.   "Ma'am".....and I realize that young voice is talking to me.  "I sure do like your booth".   I turn around to see two young boys, maybe about 11 years old.  "I like your booth a lot" one of them says.  "Well....thank you sweetheart.  You are so kind to say so".  And they run off down the aisle.  Now I am pleased as punch  because if two eleven year old boys take the time to stop and politely talk to me and give me a compliment, I figure I must be doing something right. :)
My petite place is just that....little,  and I am finally open for business.  After waiting for two years to get a place at this particular mall I am finally in.  I was afraid to start off any bigger because.....well....because rental prices aren't cheap in this popular spot and I figure if I do well than perhaps I can move up to a bigger spot.  But for now...I am happy and having fun.   I was lucky to have the sweet Sherry of the blog No Minimalist Here to help me get started in decorating the booth.  I would love to share with you some photos of the booth.  Lighting was terrible so I took some liberties with the effects.  If you see something you want just give me a shout out. There's always a discount involved for my blogging friends. :)

I will also be joining some parties today.  Beverly of How Sweet the Sound and her party Pink Saturday.  There are some pinkies and greenies in the pictures. :)    Polly of the French Cupboard and her new party, Voila.  Featuring all things Frenchy.  Check out the old fleur-de-lis hatbox with the black riding helmet on top.  And Courtney at French Country Cottage and her party Feathered Nest Friday.  Though I am not feathering my home nest, I was definitely feathering my work nest this week! :)  And I have missed Silver Sunday's over at Beth's Gypsy Fish Journal so I would love to join her fabulous party this weekend too.  I am putting pretty old silver pieces in the booth as I find them.  Love old silver spoons and forks just placed in a pot on the kitchen counter....don't you?   My latest acquisition for myself was a wonderful old bone handled carving knife and fork which will be great at Thanksgiving.
I hope you enjoy the photos.   I am working in my kitchen this week painting cabinets and other fun stuff. Painting...not fun...primping....lots of fun!  I do have a bit of a chic update planned which I can't wait to share with you.  The before's and after's to come soon.  Until next time.....   xoxoxo

Lynn, it is fabulous, the empty clock frame, the chokers and ribbon in the jar, the suitcase. This was so fun! You will have a lot of projects to show us on your blog now that you can carry bigger pieces. Stay in a small booth as long as you can because it is the way to make money, you can pull a lot of money out of a little booth, once you get the pulse of what people buy.
