A Simply Irresistible Pink Saturday

par·ty
[pahr-tee]
–noun 1. a social gathering, as of invited guests at a private home, for conversation, refreshments, entertainment, etc

She asked what I be wearing to the two most happening parties in blogland. Moi? Well...I have to be comfy. At this stage of my life comfort trumps strapless and stays and tiny straps and .....wellllll...you get the picture. So, after much searching I found these. (in a consignment shop...Hollisters...brand new $9.00)  Can you stand it? Comfy but cute, pink, sassy and definitely party worthy. Did I ever tell you I once wore a pair of tailored pajamas to a party? They were silk and very pretty. That counts for something .... right? The host, who happened to be a guy, never even noticed and he actually complimented me on my purple and green outfit..  LOL   I don't go to parties much anymore UNLESS I am throwing it or it's just down the lane or it's the BEST blogging parties of the season.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY PINK SATURDAY.  You don't look a day over 3 which makes me 6. ha!   (there we go with the age thing again) Everybody loves presents so instead of gettin', I am giving.  Hold on.....before you open this present I have to tell you about another party today too.

The fabulous Anita over at the fabulous blog, Castles, Crowns and Cottages is having a Simply Irresistible party, all about ......the city of lights.....Paris.  She's so fine, a powerful force, invincible with a language that rolls off the tongue BUT it's the call of the flea markets that I find irresistible, so much so that a future trip is in the works. Yay! As a constant reminder,a huge fleur-de-lis is posted on my vision board, keeping company with all the sweet notes and cards I get from my blogging friends and customers.  A sweet reminder of not physical treasures I have found but treasures of the heart.

So to celebrate these two momentous events,  I present to one lucky commenter on this post a present.  I have just added a new selection of hand decorated custom light switch covers to the
The Vintage Nest Using pretty vintage graphics and vintage bits and bobs of jewelry....pearls and rhinestones and only the finest of faux jewels, :) these charming covers are a one-of-a-kind finishing touch for a well dressed room.   Some in pink and some a reminder of the City of Love, putting a bit of the Parisien in your home.   You can pick out any plate from the shop that suits your fancy. (winner announced next Pink Saturday)

I am having such a good time at the parties.  But I am famished, so I am off to have a corner piece of cake.  You know.....the corner that has the big fat gooey ooey rose on it. :)

Happy Birthday Pink Saturday and a salute to "there's something about Paris." She's Simply Irresistible  :)

A big Pink thank you to Beverly of How Sweet the Sound for always being such a gracious hostess for the best weekly party on the web and to Anita of Castles Crowns and Cottages, so full of fun and vivaciousness, for hosting Simply Irresistible.  I am working on that trip Anita! :)  You can click on each link for tons of Paris inspiration and pinkdom. xoxo

What a fun post and I love your light switch plates! I have done them with wallpaper, but these are just so much cuter!
I am finally able to leave comments again! It's been a long, trying week with blogger, but have had wonderful help figuring out a way around the insanity!
Happy PS!

Love the sandals...my favorite shopping stores, too. Ah, birthdays, and age references, but I think I am better for all the experiences I have gained since being to Paris too many years ago. (Big B'day here this month...which gave me pause.)

So, great share and may we all remember..."life is too ..."

Happy Pink Saturday!
