Happy Pink Saturday with A Silver Tree

Happy Pink Saturday (and a little silver.....wellllll...actually a lot of silver)  :)
Thank you Beverly of How Sweet the Sound for our always wonderful Pink Saturdays. I am also joining the last day of the Holiday Block Parties with Honey at 2805 hosting the tree party and vignettes day at French Country Cottage.  Thank you all for a spectacular week.

Many moons ago I started collecting items for a silver tree.  Never did get around to putting the silver tree up until now.  Along with what I had already collected, I also found some of the coolest silver faux candles at Big Lots the other day. They remind me so much of the old vintage mercury glass and thinking they would be gorgeous on a white tree, I picked a small one up very inexpensively. And here she is, sitting on the sideboard in the dining room looking quite fancy and pretty.  I found the fabulous tree topper at a local consignment shop and added some silver glass birds.  But the piece de resistance is the container I used to place this sweet tree in........a vintage silver tea pot.  Don't you just love it??  I thought for sure the tree would tip over but it worked perfectly.  The background art work is a Sunday Afternoon antique painting with the most gorgeous and worn old perfect old patina.  I have found lots of these paintings with the subject of roses but never one of morning glories.  I am quite taken with it, but have put it in the boutique and it's for sale.  (unless I break down and decide it's a gift for me... :)

And don't forget to leave a comment on this post and I would love to have you follow my blog if you don't already to have at a chance to win the give-away of those charming English cookbooks.  A comment on this post works fine but the give-away is here.

Have a wonderful weekend, a good time at the party tonight or whatever fun thing you will be doing this weekend.  I will be baking!  :) xoxoxo

I love this tree, I have looked all over for one like it. I already have my crystal and silver ornaments in a box but no tree to put them on. Maybe I'll get lucky this weekend. Your tree is perfect in the vignette with the while and crystal on the chandy. Just absolutely lovely.
Happy Pink Saturday.

Many, many years ago, we had one of those silver foil trees. Wish I had kept it as new ones are pricey.

Happy Pink Saturday! I just posted my pink link #104 and will be pinking by 4's tomorrow. Oh, anything but a 2 is hard to do sometimes! But, I wanted to stop by and let you know I mentioned you on my pink post as a person visited.
Love your silver in the top photo - but that tree in that silver teapot is very attractive. I see why you might want to gift those morning glories to yourself. They are beautiful! Well, it's off to bed for me - my eyes are once again "bloggy". Take care! Enjoyed your pinks and silvers! Jenn

look at all your silver. Oh it is fabulous and so nostalgic! My grandmother had a silver tree, you know the kind that came with the light that would change color and the entire tree would reflect different colors as the light changed? My mother hated it. I just adored it!!! Isn't that funny? I do love all the pink reflections off of the silver, I think that is what draws me to the silvers, the way it all reflects light and color. Fabulous! Happy Christmas! And Happy Pink Saturday!

Oh yes for sure it looks absolutely fabulous and elegant. Love it in the teapot. I have all white and silver on my living room tree which is green - I"m thinking of spray paint frosting it with white next year. I'd love a soft white tree but am too attached to this one after 15 years! HPS Nancy
