Inventory Update

~ Still sending apologies for missing your fun posts and not visiting and having my own new blog post few and far between. Still having internet problems. The technician is fit to be tied and so am I! :) ~

Still working on the family room redo. The Louis chair makeover gave cause for my thinner hair, as I pulled quite a bit of it out trying to accomplish my first time upholstery job. I did it!...although in a round about way and I could not have done it without Bobby G's extra pair of hands.  I painted and antiqued it with AS dark wax.. and I said I thought I would recover in something monogrammed and worn red but I went totally the opposite.  Think chiffon, satin and burlap and birds. :) Just a little sneak peek for now. Not quite through yet. :) I love it!  and think you will too!  (one of these days I am going to take a picture of me all dressed up....not barefoot and wearing my Mickey Mouse paint covered pants as I always seem to be :)

With computer time down, I read a book!  LOL It was just a beach read but it did have sustenance and I thoroughly enjoyed the down time. Have also spent extra time at my mall booth adding "new" old items, fluffing and shopping other booths...bad!  I took some photos for you to see.  The pegboard walls are great for hanging stuff but not very pretty.  I do have an old screen door as a backdrop, a brown craft paper and lace curtain, as well as a chippy worn trellis but the booth walls still need something!  Any suggestions? (see something you want.....email me and we'll talk)

Happy Pink Saturday

This is one of those "where did you find that!!??" things I ran across a couple of weeks ago on a treasure hunt/buying trip.  Oh my goodness!  It's amazing and one of those fantasy pieces of furniture.  I am not even quite sure where I will put it.....maybe in the master bedroom or maybe I will sell it.  Right now it sits in the dining room, next to the old farm table, which I am kinda liking....really.  I am just showing the top of the back support here.  It's a gold gilt....not painted gold...but gold gilt rocking chair....pretty fancy....definitely French style.  It has the most fabulous hand painted scene on the heart shaped head rest and scrolls and carved wood and its shabby and chippy.  It's a small rocker.....definitely a ladies chair.  Very unique and just fabulous!  Did I say fabulous???

It was good to see you today.  :)  I would love to have you follow my blog if you don't already and if you do....thank you! There are several ways to follow over there >>>> on my sidebar.  Until next time....have a sweet week. xoxo

It's always a pleasure to join these wonderful parties.....charming hostess and full of inspiration.  I know they will love it if you give them a visit.

Lynn- Your booth looks great AND you got to read a book! A few of the bonuses to not being able to blog full time! I am glad to see you here and hope you can get things worked out soon. Can't wait to see that chair in place. xo Diana

I have used lace curtain panels on those old peg board walls in my booths before. I used unbent paper clips to hang things up with. You can poke them through the lace.
I have seen people wall paper them, paint them. You could hang one lace panel and spray paint through it, then move it around your booth. Thought about strips? That would be cute. White and aqua or white and pale pink.
You could hang old frames up and them hang your things for sale inside the frames.
I hope that helps. I know peg board gets really boring.
I hope you get your pc issues worked out. Its not fun when it doesn't work.
I love your bare feet and your mickey pants! I can't wait to see your chair all finished!

Sorry you are still having internet problems, nothing more irritating! At least you got to read a book! Your booth looks gloriously jam packed, but not cluttered!! I have to learn how to do that!! It looks like all of your wall are peg board, not much you can do with that except give it some interest? Maybe some horizontal or vertical wide stripes? Love that chair!!

Hmmm let me see....where to start...Your booth looks great! And I think some dried hops would look great draped around the top? Do you know what I'm talking about? They're so romantic and kind of rustic mouldering cool at the same time *winks* I looked for a perfect picture of some to show you but couldn't find any...durn it. Second is that a necklace display back on the slatted shutters? I'm interested if it is *winks* I need one....Even after my spend-o-ganza of last week lol!
And that rocking chair is FAB!! Oh my goodness you must share more of it! The painting is sooo wonderful! I'm just eating it up! And finally I can't wait to see your finished chair because I have a set of similar ones that I've done nothing with, and I need the inspiration *winks* Vanna

Your chair upholstery job looks.....HARD!!! I did recover a sofa..many years ago....with plaid upholstery fabric, no less! (Well, it was IN at the time!) My BFF bought some beer (we didn't have kids at the time...so we were really young) and drank our way through the recovery! :) It turned out pretty nice for having no idea of what I was doing. We used that sofa for several years....but I was really happy to see it go when it finally did!

Your booth...wow...it looks wonderful! I could shop in that place with no problems!

I've missed you. We are both busy.....I have a sale next week and I'm not supposed to be doing this!!

HPS!! L, Dana

Hi Lynn, I think that your booth looks great. My first thought was to say bring in a few branches and nests and have some tags or something funky hanging down. Wouldn't you know it, in the next pic I see branches and a nest. You're one up on me girl. lol! Hope your comp. is up and running soon.

Hi Lynn,

I love your booth. The only thing I would do if I were you is hang old worn lace tablecloths over the pegboard. That way it will look pretty and you can still put hooks through the holes and you won't have to worry about ruining an old torn tablecloth. Plus it will fit right in with your look.

I love, love, love that hand painted heart chair. I think YOU MUST keep it! 2DIE4.

HPS, xo Cathy
