Blue is for Baby Boy

Did I tell you we have a new baby grand son on the way??  Yes, and it's a Christmas baby.....due that week.  We are thrilled beyond excited.  I have his sweet baby shower gift all wrapped and ready to go.  I wrapped it in simple brown parcel paper, made a  pleated rosette from a vintage children's book page, topped with a baby boy silhouette and all tied up with fat satin blue ribbon.  What's inside????   :)  Uh huh.....can't tell, but it's sweet as can be. :)  We are supposed to head up to New York/ New Jersey later this week for the long awaited baby shower and to see my son's new home.

Right now it's just a steady rain falling. According to the scary weather forecasters the worst is still on its way.  In just a few hours, the winds will blow and blow and blow.  We've battened down the hatches, bought our milk and bread, a new game to play and a new book to read, and pray the worse is not as bad as the forecast and we don't lose power.  I wish you all in the path of this unbelievable storm to stay safe and sound.  Think of me and I'll be thinking of you.    xoxo

update:  thank you all so much for your well wishes and safe keeping.   We got hardly any of the high winds predicted for our area....thank the good Lord.  I can pull the plug on the stored water in the bathtub out now. :)  My youngest son who lives in N.J. did not fare quite so well.  Lots of damage but the family is fine.  Hope all of you are safe and sound too.  xoxo
