French Nordic Valentine

So reluctant to store away the old white wood holiday sled

I brought it inside and simply adorned with a red shiny heart

Bringing cheer to the gloomy wintry days of late

Lynn,
Love it. I love to bring things that should be outdoors indoors too. I have a vintage bike in my home that I dress up. I think your sled looks really cute with the valentine heart.

I love it...and yes, it's a winter decoration, not necessarily holiday.
Same for snowmen, too! :)

Lynn,
There are a lot of things that are kept out at our house after Christmas. Even tho we're in Florida the calendar still says 'winter'! Snowmen lose their holly leaves, candles change from red to soft blue or white while sleds and small snowshovels stand by just in case. You never know when the my New England friends and family will get tired of all that snow and ship it my way :-)

Very gloomy and snowy here. Very little sun. I love your white rustic sled, perfect with the heart in your vignette.

The red heart against that wonderful sled is such a statement. I would love to need a sled. However, in Georgia, I would probably never find one. Happy Valentine's Day!

Lynn, I wouldn't want to put that pretty sled away either. I think the pretty heart wreath implies that two sweethearts are going sledding for a Valentine's date. The guy who invited her knows how much cuddling will go on in the snow! Thanks so much for linking this to my party. laurie

No, definitely don't put the sled away yet. It's still winter! The red heart is the perfect holiday touch for your sled. '-)

I love the heart on the sled! So cute and perfectly fitting for February. Part of me wants spring to arrive in all of it's glory while the other part is still patiently hoping for snow!

Happy Valentine's Week!

Sweet! I'd be hesitant to put away a wonderful piece like that too! I'm sure it can handle all sorts of things throughout the year!
