Vintage Home Market Show ~ Sweet Give-Away

Well......

it's almost here and I  am as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

The Vintage Nest will be participating in its first vintage home market show and it's this coming weekend.  I made a cute little waist apron and I am ready to go.....almost....I have one more thing to re-purpose, and I have to get my nails done and my hair done and I may buy a new top.  :)  I am excited about meeting new friends, bloggers and a meet up with old friends too.  And my friend, Francie, of The Scented Cottage is driving all the way up here from Gawgia to share a big booth with me.  She is so wonderfully creative and has some fabulous items she has made from ........well....you just have to come see!

And I think I have just about a little bit of everything that's so popular in home decor these days :) as well as re-purposed and re-made.  Some gorgeous jewelry and velvet bookmarks that will make the sweetest and thoughtful and unique gifts for someone special in your life.

We'll have fresh greens in vintage items, vintage holiday items, French gray furniture, French blue furniture, cottage furniture,  Nordic statuary,  old ghosty mirrors, antique chippy white corbels,  wonderful wooden sleds,  fabulous really old ice skates with the original red pom poms,  tin buckets and wire baskets, awesome hand crafted pendant lighting,  shabby pine cones and silver and gold ones too, feed sack covered stools, french bags....and so much more......all beautifully displayed and affordably priced.
Inspiration for your holiday decorating and gift giving.

The Vintage Home Market is an exciting show that has come to the Richmond, Va. area.  The Spring show was a huge hit and for sure this show will be even more exciting and successful.  Held at the Richmond Raceway Complex, there is plenty of parking and a comfortable indoors environment.  The promoters of this show, skilled and blessed with serious creativity and uniqueness, know how to do it and do it well, making it fun for the shoppers and vendors as well.  It's  an amazing hybrid event that combines the excitement of a flea market, an antiques and barn show, and a high quality artist show all rolled into one!

With the season of Thanksgiving upon us, I have so much to be grateful for, one being you, my readers. :)  I thank you and appreciate you all so much.  I would love to give one of you something SWEET, appropriate for the upcoming holidays.  Charming in an old ironstone pitcher or dish, maybe hanging on a shabby but oh so chic Christmas tree,  perhaps peeking out of a softly hued stocking  or on a gift........

gourmet Pink and White Candy Canes
Just leave a comment on this post for the give-away and a way to get in contact with you if you don't have a blog (so sorry ... U.S.A. only) and if you have a moment I would love for you to follow my blog, facebook and pinterest.  The buttons are just below :)  Have a sweet week....  xoxo

It's me again. Yes, you did fall off my Reading List so I re-followed your blog. I just don't know what I'm going to do.

Basically you are brining your turkey pretty much already with the saltwater soak. Some recommend you add spices as well as something sweet, but it really is the salt that tenderizes the meat. I am definitely following your tip on filling the bird with carrots, celery and onion. I have just been leaving mine empty the past few years with worries about the dressing cooking inside.

I hope we have good weather for your visit...you just never know here! Sometime when you're here and it's not a holiday, if you have time we should get together. I can always come closer to where you are so you aren't away from your family too long. I'd love to meet you in person.

Hope you're having a great week!

XO,
Jane

BTW...I didn't email you as I'm on hubby's computer and the email would have his name on it...totally foreign to you I'm sure!
