New Spaces and Faces

Indoors or out, my booth or my website, the concept of renewal is similar.   Like we plant seeds in our garden, in our home or business, the formation begins with the seeds of inspiration and with the hope that all will blossom into something wonderful.
2014 for me, was a year of growth and change, so much growth that I often became bogged down in the process.  So much to do, with so little time, left me lagging and uninspired.  More social platforms left less time for my blog and many of you emailed to ask if was I doing okay and were things alright, since I was not throwing many blog posts up.  All that along with a life threatening health situation with my better half, left me overwhelmed at times.
Sooooo.......I have decided to change things up a bit and hope this will get me back on course.  I so love and am passionate about what I do ......the hunting for vintage and antique treasures, the process of change with many of these items, and my blog.  I would love to share with you my plans for this New Year.
I have a booth in a darling new shop near my home (well....kind of near :)(all about that in the next blog post)  So far, it's doing quite well and it's where I sell larger items that I can't do on my website.  As of 2015 I expanded the space but am sharing with a dear friend.   The other night, he and I redid the booth for the New Year, and just having someone else with me and share, made the process so much easier.  We both have the same taste and Tony is so talented, that I loved every idea he had for the space.  A little bit of that heaviness on my shoulders dropped right off.  :)

The website:   In a few days I will be closing the website,  The Vintage Nest, to revamp that also.    I expect it to be closed for no more than a week to 10 days.  It will still be viewable  until I re-open it; you just can't purchase anything.  I plan to put no more than 25 or so items on the website at any given time, making the items, fresh and new.  If they don't sell within a month's time, then they will be moved to my brick and mortar booth.
I am also, thrilled to announce I have been chosen to be included in a new adventure.  A  pop-up on line "weekend vintage market" to be a bi-monthly adventure.   Stay tuned for more information on that.  The first show to be held Jan. 23rd-25th.
And lastly, I have also been asked to co-host a new blog linky party, honored and thrilled to be a part of.  It's still in the works, but hope to get it off the ground soon.  Can't wait to give you more info and.hope all you bloggers will join on in the party.  Some pretty hip bloggers will be hosting this party, well known in the decor world.
My husband is doing well, and with each passing day we thank the good Lord for our blessings.  Hopefully a new kidney will be in our future. :)

Lynn, I guess I have been MIA to the point that I had no idea your sweetie had a health issue. I hope and pray that it is resolved and that his health is restored fully.

I am feeling a bit discombobulated of late, but I think it is because I lost two months in the fall from battling shingles and being in voluntary quarantine. I blinked, and it was Christmas! Now, it is 2015, but where did September and October go???

Big hugs, my sweet friend. Love your booth and everything you do.

Lynn, I haven't been blogging so I'm not on here much. Sounds like you have lots of fun things in the works and I will have to check back to follow along. Prayers still going up for Gary and I love your attitude as you face all these challenges.
