Gratitude Day

I just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. Hope you all are surrounded with friends and loved ones and a wonderfully laden groaning board. I, for one, am thankful and grateful that I got good news from the Dr. yesterday and now I can enjoy Thanksgiving to the fullest, my family will be here for the feast and it's going to be a beautiful day. I am also thankful for You All! The first photo today is my simple Thanksgiving country table centerpiece. Thank you to Ann-Denise of Whim and Fancy Designs. Ann-Denise is the Queen of crepe paper and makes the most gorgeous things out of that humble paper. I asked her if she could make some cuffs for my crystal candlesticks and she did. The second photo is the urn on my front porch. I had taken my flags down when I did my decorations for Thanksgiving and then I saw a post at Heidi's blog. She showed a country harvest table all set for Thanksgiving and they had decorated with American flags. A light bulb went off in my head. Well, why in the world did I take my flags down?......when what could be more American than Thanksgiving....so the flags went back up. I hope at the end of your Thanksgiving day you will be left with nothing but fond memories and enough left over turkey to make a turkey, mayo and potato chip sandwich. :) (Don't laugh...try it ....it's good!)
