An unlikely duo but it works.......why? .....because I like it...therefore it has to work . :) You all know with my boutique, I spend a great deal of my time "treasure hunting." And on those hunts, for the last couple of years, I have been looking for myself (and one for you, if I found two) a real antique cloche or bell jar. I have yet to find it and this winter while visiting one of my favorite decorating stores, they featured new garden cloches. I bought one. It's large and heavy and I love it. For now, it is front and center on the foyer table. Underneath I have displayed.......guess what? Awww go on and guess....(grin). It's a real bird nest...one of the many that we find out here on the farmette, gifted from nature. A little mushroom bird sits on the nest and beside her, rest a vintage pearl bridal tiara. Maybe this Christmas I will add some silver mercury balls as her eggs and a small bottle brush Christmas tree.

A bird and a nest is the classic item to put under an indoor cloche. Adding the little crown is the perfect creative touch.

Another stunning display for a royal nest! I need to pull mine out, thanks for the inspiration! Hope you have a terrific week!
I'm so sad I missed the cloche party! What's under mine? Exactly NOTHING! The party would have inspired me to put SOMETHING under there. Hmmm, a bowling pin would fit.... but I don't have one, so I'd have found something sweet to put under. Maybe I'll go look now!
