The Patriotic Pink CupCake

Happy Pink Saturday! We had a big gathering for the 4th of July celebration last weekend and for dessert, I made red velvet cupcakes with white icing and tiny little flags. . My sweet grand-daughter Boo, who was visiting for the week, insisted on pink icing for hers. A future Pink Saturday girl! I LOVE it! Happy belated 4th Of July.

My sincere apologies to the commenters who visited me last Saturday and I was no where to be found. Some of you very gracious ladies (and guy) commented on an old post. Unfortunately we had a lightning strike on July 1st and lost telephones and the computers for six days. I could not do my Pink Saturday post or anything else, much to my dismay. So today I am posting a belated 4th of July post and Pink Saturday too. Happy day to you all!

For a list of all the Pink Saturday posters go visit Beverly of the blog "How Sweet the Sound". She is our gracious hostess. Click here and I promise you will not be disappointed.

Love the cupcakes. Red Velvet is my absolute favorite! How cute that your granddaughter wanted pink cupcake icing. It seems her grandmother is rubing off on her. How is the chicken coop coming along? I cant wait to see it all finished. :)
Have a fabulous Saturday!

My daughter is a pink-y too! Right now, she adores everything pink! I know it will end some day (mine did), but then, like me, it may just come back!

I will take 2 please. I'll get another cup of iced coffee. It's still raining here, I'm a little tired of it. Good day to visit the girls.

Hello, thank you so much for stopping by and leaving such a sweet comment. Love your pink saturday and July 4th post. I understand so well about computer outages! I loved your previous posts on the Outer Banks, we have vacationed there for the past 14 years. This year we are not going, (so sad), I took a teaching job at the Catholic School so it messed up our plans for going to the Outer Banks in Sept. Next year we will make our plans to go in July.
Have a great week.
Bless you, Shirl
