Yep....it's true. When you least expect it and are wondering what you can come up with for Beth's Silver Sundays over at that fabulous blog called "Gypsy Fish Journal"..(don't you just love that name?) whoop....there it is, right in front of you. I was taking a walk around the back forty, testing all the gadgets on my new spiffy camera, when I wandered into my neighbor's barn. And right there in front of me was a brand spankin' new hank of the shiniest silver barbed wire you ever saw! Whoa......prefect for Silver Sundays. So I started snapping away. Lest my good neighbor wondered what in the world I was doing, I ran down to his house (which is not easy because it's 1/2 mile away.....But downhill), and ask his permission and explained why I was taking photos of his barbed wire. LOL....He just smiled at me indulgently and said "snap away". So here is my Silver Sunday silver photo. But I do hope you will bear with me because I just had to take pictures of all kinds of fun and interesting things in his barn and around the fields and pastures. Thanks Dr. Ron! And it's snowing like crazy today so I had to throw in a photo of that too. :) And don't forget to click here for more fabulous Silver Sunday blog post today. It's going to end on February 7th but I am starting a petition for her to keep it going. Pretty pleasssse. Happy day and See you soon!
P.S. The old tub is kept full of water for the animals that grace us with a visit from time to time..

Lots of snow????
Funny post and neat pictures, Lynn. You have opened up a whole realm of possibilities for Silver Sunday!! I love barns and the oddball stuff you find in them. It is sort of like "We have no place for this...let's put it in the barn!" lol!!
Stay warm and dry, sweetie!! :-)
xoxo

Oh Lynn Sweetie...
This is just the most beautiful Header yet. I love your photo included. It makes it just perfect to the letter "T".
Now I love this Sunday Silver...It's CountryStyle. My kind of silver. Isn't it amazing what you can find on a farm? I have a little wreath out of barbed wire. I just love it. It's rusted and just perfect. The tools hanging are just how it should be. You can find anything quickly at a glance. Grab it and run. A farmlife is a hurried life for sure. Time waits for nobody.
I love the snow on the steps. So serene and perfectly untouched. I love the way nature falls. So beautiful Lynn thank you for sharing. I am so thrilled that you got out with your camera today and have shared with me.
Have a beautiful Saturday today, stay warm and Happy Silver Sunday for tomorrow.
Country hugs sweetie and so much love...Sherry
You are sooooo right: silver in the most unexpected places, sugar. Aaaaaah, I just finished a birdhouse for my great granddaughter. I'll show it on the blogs in a few days. ;-)
xoxo,
Connie

That's a cute post! I would have never thought of barb wire for the SS post. Aren't those unexpeted finds just the greatest? The lovely rusty horseshoes had once been shiny too. Thanks for showing and have a wonderful Silver Sunday!

Oh my goodness. Some of those photos look like they came out of a magazine, especially the shot of the rusted horse shoes. Honestly, you could sell that one!! My post today doesn't really have a fine silver piece to show, but like your barbed wire was an unexpected treasure.
Love all the old garden utensils neatly on the wall...but that pile of horse shoes, I love!
Fantastic pictures..the barbed wire was an amazing shot.
Susan
I wish I had a few of those old horseshoes, and maybe that old clawfoot tub, too! Great pix!
Hi Lynn! Sorry for the absence, but this starting of the year has been even crazier than usual!
Amazing shots! Being an urban guy (I was going to say boy... ;)) in a place where it doesn't snow, I don't have much to tell these days... ;))
Blogtrotter 2 is departing Miami by sea. Hope you like it and have a great week!!
Love your post ~ you are probably the only blogger who had the pic of Barbed Wire ~ So fun....
Love the Photos
Happy S.S.

If I am ever at your house and I need help with the garden, or the horses or whatever, I know who to call on, your neighbor! ha ha! Lordy, I wish Steve was that organized!
What beautiful photographs. I am so glad I found your blog through Silver Sunday, and I love your silver in unusual places.
Laura
Very nice post, like your barb wire. I really enjoyed all the pictures, you did very good for Silvery Sunday. the snow looks so pretty. The barb wire reminds me of a old spool I found in our old barn when we first moved in. Can you believe it is going to be February tomorrow, have a great week.
Lynn, love all the photos of the farm and snow. So glad you visited me and that I can meet you too. I look forward to exploring your blogs. Hugs, Marla

Hi Lynn,
This barn is gorgeous, I love all the horseshoes and the barn vignettes. I love the snow going up those stairs too. I like that photo of you in your banner. Karen
It takes the eye of an artist to find beauty where it's least expected. I love all the photos especially the new one of you. You are getting all fancy/schamancy over here. I gotta find time to catch up to the pace you're setting!
