Things that say, ahhhhh......this is so French. These romantic, shabby pink and other soft colorbook boxes are whimsical, one-of-a-kind, sophisticated and created in The Vintage Nest studio with love, fun and a touch of je ne sais quoi. Crafted from old books, not in the best of shape and most likely destined for a land fill, we are going green with something uncommonly good to be treasured once again.....something the French do so well. A secret little place to perhaps hide that love note from someone special or sitting pretty on the coffee table as a spot to discreetly shelter the TV remote. As MS would say......it's a good thing. :)
I am so happy to be back at Happy Pink Saturday this week. The weather outside has been frightful and a bit of pink does wonders as a pick me up. I will be on the road all day Saturday but will be by to visit quick as a bunny. (Can you tell Easter and Spring is on my mind?) :) And for lots more pink please visit How Sweet the Sound.
I'd love to come out and help you reorganize....BUT, my studio and workroom have to come first! Until I finish my show pieces, it looks like a huge hurricane came through, and Sandy just came over to use my Cricket and even more stuff got pushed around, so I'll get to you when I can........kay? LOL
Lynn, since we live in Kansas I am a hugh Wizard of Oz fan. My husband made this tin man for me last summer. He looks over my vegetable garden. I found all the tin cans and the big funnel at flea markets. Ann Tin and sparkle
I think everyone has Spring on their mind!!~ Love those books....and we too mix old with new, I love that style and I love it when people can't tell the difference:)
Lynn, the book boxes are terrific. I just love the soft colors. You've captured that shabby French feel beautifully. Have a great week and safe travels. Hugs, Terri
Well hello stranger. How are you? I've also been MIA from Pink Sat. I've been going through Root canal sessions all month, not done yet, one more appointment to go. We will be leaving for Fla. March 13th ish. So looking forward to meeting the girls. First stop N.C. second stop GA. then on to Lakeland for my special pink tea party. OH I'm sooooo excited. I hope the weather co-operates. The way it's going, I'm just not sure anymore. Your pink/book/secret boxes are very very elegant. You always have cool things to show us. Sending hugs. Are you snowed in? You guys are getting more snow than us Canadians, go figure. Happy PS Love Claudie oxoxox
