"In your Easter bonnet with all the frills upon it, You'll be the grandest lady in the Easterrrrr Parade." :)
A beautiful Spring time Pink Saturday to you today! Look at these old vintage Easter bonnets! Aren't they wonderful? And I am really crazy about the colors. The deep fuchsia pink one is actually a large vintage fashion doll hat. It is velvet and stiff pink netting and is covered in fabulous velvet flowers dotted with clear rhinestones. The shabby worn light pink hat is another fabulous piece, covered in the best worn pink velvet flowers and worn white velvet hearts. There are also some sagey green elements and old stamens on it too. And then there is that luscious Lynette aqua leaves hat. Can you stand it? Fun to display as well as provide a smorgasbord of luscious elements for the altered art aficionado. And they are all available at The Vintage Nest boutique. Thank you Beverly of "How Sweet the Sound" for this wonderful day of pink fun. Oh...and one other thing....with it being the first day of Spring....yippee...I am not only sprucing up my home but my blog too. Do you like my new pinkish blog? I think it still looks old and vintagey but with a new fresh look.
Now....I am heading outside to fly a kite on this gorgeous day. And If I can get it off the ground and it's not a total fiasco I may actually show you some blog photos later this week. :) See you soon!

Very pretty - wish I looked good in hats! My girlfriend Suzanne and I used to go in department stores and try on what we called Ladies Goin' to Church Hats - huge hats - we had so much fun. Jennifer jennsthreegraces

Happy Spring time Pink Saturday. These hats are so pretty, I like the last one. Us girls wore hats to church when we were young. Have a nice weekend. Hope to see some kite flying.

Hello Lynn,
You're right, these floral bonnets are just pretty! Ok I know it's for PInk Saturday but my fave is the light blue one! :-)
Also, how adorable are those booties with the writing on the sole? What a nice keepsake. I'll be sure to take note of that. I think it's real sweet.
HOpe you have a wonderful day!

Those hats are wonderful, Lynn. I am always drawn to them in antique malls....I don't know why. I only have one and I found it at a garage sale for a quarter. It's straw with floppy red roses on the front brim area....it makes me look like a real Bag Lady when I put it on (so I DON'T!).
I love your new blog look, too!
Hope you have a great Pink Sat!! L, Dana
Lynn,

I love hats!.. I'm a Red Hat Society member so I get to wear hats quite often. When I was growing up I loved all the beautiful hats we would wear on Easter. Miss those times.

I used to get a new Easter bonnet every year. I hated wearing them! I have never looked that great in a hat- I think it's because I have a dinky little head. We used to call it a pin-head, I don't know why. The last time I wore a frou frou hat was about 15 years ago when a friend brought out her collection at a party and made us all wear one. I guess because we were all drinking a bit too much, I complied. I've seen pictures and it was not a pretty sight! LOL
I enjoyed seeing your selection.
hugs, Sue
What gorgeous little bonnets, I would love to wear one any day, but especially Easter!
Happy PS,
