Butterflies & Roses

Butterflies and Roses......It won't be long now before we will see both in our gardens!  YAY!

~ Butterflies ~

I hope some of you remember the post I did just a while back on making flutter butterfly tee shirts.  Right after I posted it I shipped out those tee's for my grand-girls AND here they are wearing them.  Too Cute....I tell ya!  Ooooohhh....I just want to give 'em a hug so bad! (Okay...you can't really see the action of the butterflies on their t-shirts but I had to post it anyway :)

Is there anything more romantic than roses?? Mother's Day usually brings the first roses in my gardens.... what about yours? Whether one single beautiful bud, a bouquet of garden cabbage roses in an old silver trophy cup or a cluster of wild roses and honeysuckle in a vintage white ironstone pitcher, their scent is intoxicating and their beauty unrivaled.  I always consider myself so lucky when I run across the old vintage porcelain roses with long stems on my treasure hunts and did just that last weekend.  Gathered up and tied with a velvet ribbon they are perfect just resting on a stack of books.  These are in the boutique and ready to be picked by you.  :)

For a whole flutter of pinks on Pink Saturday just stop by Beverly's blog, How Sweet the Sound.  It will put the bloom in your cheeks!  I am off today out treasure hunting and tomorrow too.  Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you soon.  xoxo

Happy Pink Saturday, Lynn.

I love these roses, too, and I love the way you wrapped the bouquet.

Of course, what I love most are those two sweeties. I wish you were hugging them right this minute.

Those remind me of the roses my Dad gives my Mom. Every year he buys these roses that are real but somehow covered in something that looks like (or maybe is?) glass & gold flakes. He has been doing this for quite some time & says he will stop when she has one dozen!

Lynn, I have never seen a porcelain rose on a stem. If I do I am keeping them. Your babies are so cute jumping around! I did yard work all day yesterday and today and still have two days left, then I will be all ready for summer, It is already over 80 degrees here, I wish I had done it a couple weeks ago!!

Your sweet Grand Girls look adorable in the shirts you made for them!!! I can tell that they love them, too! We took our Grand Girl bowling today....her first time! She's the Bumper Bowling Queen...even beat her grandpa!! :)

I LOVE what you did to your kitchen! Wow! It's gorgeous! I have plates very similar to yours....with the dots around the rims. Mine were a Christmas gift from my family about 4 years ago. While I adore white Corelle....I love my creamy Emma from Pottery Barn, too. Sadly, they are not made in the USA...that also are not made in China!

Have a great Pink Saturday...um....and did I see that you called me OLD on Beverly's comments! ;) That was a riot that I made it first!! I'm usually not home at the time we can first link up.....but today I was. I figured I'd be down on the list because I messed up the thumbnail picture and it took me awhile to address that. Next week......I predict YOU will score the #1 spot....right after Beverly, of course! :)
