Happy Pink Saturday
After my rant on auctions last week, off I went to another this week. Couldn't resist when my California neighbors called and requested a ride along and wanted to watch me in the process of actually bidding but doing it so no one could tell I was actually bidding. (does that make sense? :) I am so glad I went. Look what I got!!! Isn't it gorgeous with it's original green worn paint and that fabulous patina. This spectacular old garden basket is very large, spanning 2 feet across and with that wonderful wooden handle that spans 16". This will go in my booth next week but today it's filled with the most fabulous smelling lilacs, compliments of my good neighbors, and in honor of Pink Saturday, it rest next to the just opening azaleas here in Va. Ah yes, Virginia is coming into its own this week as Historic Garden Week gets under way. My brunch is today and I will be spending time with my family. Along with an array of tempting foods I've been working on all week, my baby sister is making Belgian waffles served with blueberries, strawberries and home made whipped cream. Oh my! Wish every single one of you could join us! Best Wishes for a wonderful day and I will see you tomorrow. xoxo
Always a thank you to Ms. Beverly of How Sweet the Sound for hosting our Pink Saturday....the best party on the internet! Click here for more beautiful pink blogs today.

Love this basket. You surely can't sell this one! Oh, My! I would keep it forever.
We are just leafing out here in Illinois- not a lot in bloom yet but the tulips and daffodils. Pear trees are beautiful and spring is in the air!
Have a great Weekend and eat something for me at your brunch!

How pretty, Lynn! I would have put up a fight for that! It looks gorgeous with the lilacs in it. Someone is going to get lucky in your shop!!
It does look like spring is here. We are to have rain all weekend, but that's what makes everything turn green! I hope you have a lovely weekend, my friend!
XO,
Jane
Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. Love your spring baskets, we are not even close to have flowers, you only see the flowers at the stores, but not at gardens, still too cold.
Have a wonderful day!

The basket is fabulous ~ of course the lovely lilacs make it all the more special. Happy Pink Saturday!!
Have a great weekend :O)
What a fine olde basket.....I used to have a similar one years ago. I think I gave it to one of the girls, but it was wonderful for cutting hydrangeas and just laying them softly in the basket until it was full and letting them just rest and dry. Each time they they would dry beautifully and keep their lovely color!
Our lilacs are just getting teeny green leaves....we have a while to go before we have the flowers...one of my favorites!
HPS!

Happy Pink Saturday sweet friend. I SO adore this wonderful basket. Don't you just wonder who owned it, and who might have strolled through their garden picking flowers for her basket? Oh if only this glorious piece could talk, I can only imagine the joy it would share with us.
I can't wait to see this item listed in your shop. I will be watching.
Hope you have a beautiful Pink Saturday sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
