Hodge-Podge at The Shops at Ivey, Colonial Heights, Va.
Where is the pink today you might be asking? Well....as we were leaving this delightful shop, I noticed some birds perched on the top of the door lentil. I looked and looked at them trying to decide if they were real or not. Mom said they were fake birds in a nest. For the longest time they did not move and then one opened and closed its little beak. Yep, there were three little birds just about ready to take leave of the nest. Suzanne had left some Christmas decorations over the door and Momma bird had decided it would make a fine home for her family. See the pink limbs in the nest? Is this not the sweetest scene? I just bet those little birds tested their wings and have flown off by now to make their own way. HAPPY PINK SATURDAY and thanks to Ms. Beverly of How Sweet the Sound for making Pink Saturdays the most fun day of the week. Now I am off treasure hunting today and will see you asap. xoxo

Hi Lynn, I look forward to Saturdays because it's the time when I can catch up with you and what you are up too. I still miss seeing you in SLS!!
It seems you had a wonderful day out with your mother, making memories and enjoying each others company in a special way.
I don't like to travel the freeways just because of this, you miss it all. All the great shops and little cafes.
This was a wonderful idea and I love the name Hodge Podge.

What a sweet post! HB to your precious mom! I love the antique store. It is so sweet. Those birds are adorable! I love the Spring time. Hugs Anne
Lynn, the flowers do look like peonies, I never thought of that. Mom is in Minnesota and I am in Orlando, so there won't be a road trip this week, she hates that she is turning 80, so she wants nothing to do with any BD celebrations...I guess I understand!

Happy Pink Saturday, Lynn.
You girls must have had a wonderful time. I do remember those little motor courts, and what a fun idea to use them as shops. I would love doing that.
