Yard Saling on Pink Saturday

You know I most always go treasure hunting on Pink Saturday aka Yard Saling Day. Over the course of time I accumulate a camera full of fun photos from those travels, so today I thought I would show you just a couple.  Don't you just love this sign?  Who couldn't stop at a sign like this?  If I remember correctly it was a church yard sale and I bought some Paula Deen cookbooks. :)

Now I live in the country but this road was really deep into the country.  I got behind this farmer who was going about 15 miles an hour in this faded old red truck.  It was so faded that it was now a deep pink.  :)  I didn't mind going slow though because it was a tiny curvy up and down road and an absolutely gorgeous morning......a "zip-a-dee-doo-dah" kind of day.  Let's see...what did I find at that sale?  I think it was some old canning jars with wonderful old zinc lids.   I was looking, and still am, for an old large double wash tub on a stand.  Haven't found one yet.

Don't you just love the name of this road?  I know there's nothing pink in the photo but I can just imagine a sweet little cottage on this road with pink roses climbing up the trellis by the front porch.  :)   .....It was a private road so I didn't go down it but it's fun to dream.

And finally, see the cute little convertible sports car in my rear view mirror? (I am stopped at a red light here just in case you were wondering :).  Well...in that car is a real cute guy with a pink shirt on.  Trust me on this one!  :) xoxo   Have a wonderful

P I N K     S A T U R D A Y

P.S. At the yard sale the cute guy was not going to,  I found this adorable vintage "Home Sweet Home" pitcher/creamer and then I headed "home sweet home" where we will celebrate the 4th. I do hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend.  I put that charming piece of pottery in the shop

Pink Saturdays are hosted by Beverly at How Sweet The Sound  blog.  If you love pink that's the place to be every Saturday.   It's a good thing!

Happy Pink Saturday Lynn Sweetie and Happy 4th of July as well...
What a gorgeous trip today. I so enjoyed riding along. Oh I can so picture my sis, Marydon at Blushing Rose living on Rose Cottage Ln. She would love to have that sign for her house. So pretty and SO her.

Darn you should have let that good looking guy in the convertible get a little closer, now we didn't get to see too. Love the car though and your photos are absolutely fabulous.

The little pitcher/creamer is just perfect for a country home. It will snatched up quickly I am sure. Pitchers are so useful aren't they?

Have a beautiful Pink Saturday and thanks for taking me along to the sales sweet one. Happy 4th of July. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

What an awesome post, Lynn.

This is one of the cutest Yard Sale Signs I have seen in a long time.
Don't you just like exploring some of country roads, far out in the country where sometimes it seems like time stood still? I love it and just wished I could find more time to go on such trips.

Btw, the small pitcher looks awesome and would go so well with my country kitchen decor. ;)

Have a wonderful 4th of July

PS: A guy in a pink shirt? Hmmmmm.... :)

Hi LYNNN!!! How I know you are just having a major ball with your family....I'm so happy for you!!!!! Good luck with that antiquing today!!! I'll be going to church in a bit, then home to "spiff" a tad before the son, DIL and grand kiddos come over to spend the night!!! Today is our son and DIL's 7th anniversary, so we will watch the kiddos while they go to dinner...tomorrow it's PARADE and COOKOUT time!!! It's been so hot in our part of the country...now they're predicting rain for this evening. I do know we've set through the parade in pouring rain before.....ya just don't go to the parade on the 4th, no matter what the weather is !!! :)

I love all of your pink shots.....especially the one in the rear mirror!!! You are a dyed in the wool pinkie!!! :) That sign is wonderful, too. I need to do this...I, too, have a collection of random pink shots that I've never used! Good idea!

Well, I wish you and yours the most fabulous Independence Day....be safe, have fun and celebrate!!

HPS!!! L, Dana

Hi Lynn~
Just stopping by to say "hello" and wish you a happy Pink Saturday!

Hi, Lynne! Your photos are great, especially the old truck. Sometimes I think that being able to take photos of things makes me stop buying too many things - I can possess the images instead of the objects!

I'd love to go yard-sale-ing with you, since you really know how to shop!

Have a great Pink SAturday and a wonderful weekend, and let us know what marvelous things you found this weekend.

I think the sign would have attracked lots of attention.
I never realized that I missed country roads until I visited a good friend of mine in TX. The desert has no country roads.....it's funny when you don't miss what you don't have. I would have loved to take a trip behind the faded red truck, Char
