Thanks Lynn for inviting me and Design Shuffle to visit this week. I am excited to share some gorgeous pictures of beautiful rooms decorated with French architectural salvage. I hope you and your readers will feel inspired. There are so many types of architectural salvage: windows, mirrors, mantels, finials, iron work, flooring, columns—the decorating possibilities are endless! There is so much history in each piece of French architectural salvage. I love imagining where each piece came from and what history it has witnessed. Here are my tips for decorating with French Architectural Salvage. Enjoy!

A French overmantel mirror, painted in a shabby chic white, would look wonderful paired with the console table in an entry or bedroom design. Love the floor candelabrum too.Remodelista via
Seriously love this shower enclosure from old factory windows. Not sure if the windows are truly from France but they have that certain je ne sais quoi of French architecture. My Home Ideas via
Gothic arches form the base of a custom console table. Repurposing architectural salvage is part of the charm of working with these historic objects.Better Homes and Gardens (slide #2) via
Looking for out of the ordinary bathroom design ideas? Using salvaged ironwork, an architectural element popular during the Belle Époque in Paris, to make a bathroom vanity is a clever and charming.Décor de Provence via
French glass panels frame a glass door leading into a great room. The etching detail is lovely.Better Homes and Gardens (slide #4) via
This round window reminds me of the round garret windows that pepper the rooflines of Paris, very La Boheme. Turning windows into mirrors is an easy DIY project.Pottery Barn via
Salvage wood finials make wonderful, charming lamp bases. If you can’t find French salvage finials, stores like Pottery Barn have copies that capture the look.Eclectic Revisited via
Antique French wood doors greet visitors as they have for centuries. The wood flooring is also salvaged antique wood from France, which gives this interior design a true feeling of life in France. This content is provided by Design Shuffle, where you can find and share talented interior designs from from New York interior designers, Los Angeles interior designers, and more, check out the latest at Design Shuffle.

Wow, talk about beauty, I liked them all, especially the shower enclosure and the sink. Thanks Lynn for inviting Susi and Design Shuffle (I like that name) to come on your blog so we could see all this beauty. Have a great week and I am glad you and Bobby are safe. That is awful what happened in New York.
Hi Lynn...what a great post!
I've never heard of Design Shuffle, thank you Susi!
I'm in love- the lamp, the shower, the entry table...I could take it all.
Great post!
Lynn and Susi - thank you for the fabulous post! Every single idea is an inspiration... but I especially loved the windows shower! I've always been attracted to architectural finds but never know quite how to incorporate into my decor without it looking out of place or that I'm trying to hard...
Dear Lynn and Susi,
if only we could have more than one home..how much fun it would be to change our decorations from house to house..what a dream!!!
Okay I'm awake...
nice photo's...
I love decorating with Architectural Salvage... I'm thankful that at least some of the remnants of the Past are being preserved this way from magnificent Old Buildings that were not spared.

I could get lost in all those lovely rooms. I spend too much time browsing pinterest too--another source of home decor. Great photos--thanks for sharing the inspiration.
I love decorating with architectural items but they're so expensive anymore.
Thanks for your kind words on Tete's blog about Buddy!
That entry table was a great idea. The shower doors are pretty cool, too, but I wouldn't want to live with them! :) I'm lazy....
