I Couldn't Wait to Show You ~ Feathernesters

What fun I've had doing this and appreciate all the help and patience from Tony and Marc, the owners. Between family illness and bad weather, it's taken a while, but The Vintage Nest is finally there and I just LOVE it!  With their creative skills and background in retail, the owners have taken an old Richmond, Va.,  5000 foot warehouse and turned it into a spectacular showplace.  A wonderland full of room-like displays.  Filled with one-of-a-kind vintage and antique furniture, lighting, art, farmhouse chic, euro-painted items, industrial, artisanal jewelry, garden, gifts and more.  Unlike anything in Richmond and each time we open we work hard to show you many, many new items, so it's never the same place twice.  We hunt, clean, repair and create new things between sales.

is truly the place to Feather Your Nest with something Special

Open eight days a month, on the second and fourth weekends....Thursday - Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 1-5.
7605-C Compton Rd. Richmond, Va. 23228
Just a block off Staples Mill Rd. and a hop skip and a jump from the Amtrak Station
Look for dear Mrytle and the flag

My space is still evolving and I have tweaking to do with one wall but I'd love to show you some photos.  And let me know when you're coming.  I'd love to be there to meet you. xoxo

P. S. Did I tell you Tony & Marc are fantastic at making their customers feel so special. Quite often they serve treats.  Like this weekend they will have a Starbucks Coffee bar and Homemade chocolate goodies...... who doesn't love that?!!

First I wanted to show you an incredible piece....I found this probably two years ago and kept it at home just to enjoy but now it's time for someone else to love it.  A lady's petite gold gilt rocking chair.  It has fabulous scroll work and carving on it and the heart shaped head rest is entirely hand painted, with a cherub....just gorgeous.  This piece is now in my space at the warehouse.

Happy Valentine's

I wanted to show you just a small portion of the warehouse before my space....this is the center of the displays

One of the many room-like displays in the warehouse.....so much inspiration for your own home

CAUTION......photo overload here......but I am just so darned excited to show my space, I went over board with my camera

If you see anything that interest your fancy......let's talk.    Have a fabulous Valentine's  Evening and 4-ever yours :)

Girl, of course you are excited to show us your space. I am bustin' my buttons for you. And, it looks fabulous. The pieces you have painted are gorgeous.

Great job, Lynn. Your space is one I could spend hours in. Looks like a wonderful mall. Yes, girl...the gilded chair is gorgeous and I'm sure not easy to let go of - I've been doing a lot of that lately. It's mind boggling how much stuff you amass when you have an antique business. Happy Valentine's Day. xo Nancy

Well, for all of us not in Richmond, what a shame! 5000 square feet?!! It can't get much better than that for your lucky customers! Your space is wonderful, I fell in love with your cream colored cabinet and hutch. I would be willing to move to a bigger house just to have it! lol!

Honestly, I can hear the excitement in your voice (writing) and I am so happy for you. Best wishes! :)

Oh, how I wish I was within a reasonable driving distance of Richmond! I have visited there once years and years ago. This time I would be able to spend the day combing the aisles of Feathernesters!

Just looking at the photos makes me want to decorate until I drop!!! What beautiful and well-conceived items for sale!!! If I started naming favorites, we'd be here all night!!! :-)

Thanks for sharing this treasure, and best wishes to you as you grow your booth!!!

I will definitely be in the next couple weeks to look around. Like everything I see. It sort of reminds me a little of Through the Garden Gate in Mechanicsville, I usually visit there about once a month. You are closer which means I will visit more.
Will have to make sure my friends know about this place too.

Oh how fun! AND absolutely GORGEOUS! I'm pinning the cute little things made out of sheet music. My granddaughter was just talking about trying a project like that so she'll love to see it. Thanks for a delightful visit. My pinks are at SandwichINKrealEstateInfo.com today :)
