A Walk to the Mailbox

TGIF....it's been a very busy week in my studio. Snowed in, I accomplished so much and very pleased with myself. :) But did do a little "playing/walking" in the snow to get some fresh air. A few of you know that I have a personal family facebook page called "A Walk to the Mailbox". Living in the country, it is a half mile to our mailbox. So taking a walk to get the mail and back is quite a good bit of exercise. I always carry my camera and usually manage to capture some good shots that I share with my family and neighborhood friends. So today,  I thought I would share
" A Walk to the Mailbox" with you. I know you have probably seen a million snow shots by now but please indulge me.  After this, I promise, it's only Spring stuff.    :)

the old wood sled on the front porch

the dock at the frozen lake......brrrrrrr

a snow covered dried hydrangea that escaped my scissors this past Fall

the old cracked birdhouse

a faucet that's frozen

the old rusty bicycle  ...... don't you love the old bottle caps in the spokes

I hope by Easter I will be pushing the newest grand baby in this swing

his old vintage tractor.....takes a lickin' and keeps on kickin'

pine boughs.....love the green against the white

weeds in the field

this is a path between the two front fields that the deer use all the time

Thank you for visiting and may each day for you be warmer and warmer.

Great shots, Lynn. You really are in a remote area, aren't you? I am bidding adieu to winter today, hoping to see the last of our most recent snow completely melt. The 10 day here promises spring, none too soon!

good morning Lynn ...glad you took a "walk to the mailbox" ... beautiful shots of the snow. I especially like the one of the weeds. Thanks for sharing them. We don't get snow very often and not at all this year.

How nice to have a good excuse to walk! We have a mail slot outside next to the front door and the mail drops into this little mail compartment which we then open from the snugness of our home and voila! We are lazy slugs!! I love that you have an excuse for a nice, brisk and beautiful walk...so good for your health and soul!

A new grandbaby? Yay!! We just welcomed our first February 11! Oh joy! :))))

What gorgeous shots & totally a lovely walk to the mailbox. I know you are so tired of snow, but I just love it (especially since we haven't had any worth mentioning this year). Hopefully spring will soon make its appearance.
