Luckett's Spring Market 2015

We didn't make the decision to go to Luckett's Spring Market until the night before, but I am so glad we did.  With previous plans already, we decided to head up there on Sunday, leaving early that morning.  I am so glad we did.  What fun we had.  Less crowds,  beautiful (but hot) weather, and still good pickins.  We came home with a truck load.  It was easy to find a garden seat when you were tired, no long lines at the drink and food trucks and no long car traffic lines to wait in.  With that, we even had time to run to some of the other delightful shops nearby and still be home before dark.  My partner in crime was Libbie of Rusticity.

Here we are in front of the cutest chicken coop!  Don't you agree!?  The large run was off to the right of it.

The vendors at this booth were two French guys.  I could have chatted with them all day.  They had a great eye for classic with the unexpected and gorgeous displays.

this was a de-constructed chair they had created.....not sure I would want it in my home but it would be a fabulous store display

Can you imagine the time it took to make the paper dress for this mannequin.....lots of folding and folding and folding and you can't tell it in the picture but the entire bodice was pin tucked

love this old pink pedal car

this was the back door to the Design House......one of these days I am going to get up the nerve to paint my foyer like this

the Design House this season was mostly a lesson in greige.  Pretty and soothing.  I was particularly interested in the decorated bedrooms, as I am thinking of redoing mine.

I love seeing how vendors displayed their wares......a pile of old photographs in a basket.  I had fun going through them and bought several old beach scenes to use in my booth for the summer

Another artistic booth display..... The Robin's Nest

Clutter or Class.....a little of both I think and one that drew me in immediately....love displays like this...treasures to be found for sure

 Is this fun or what!!!???

I have been in the market for an old truck for the last year with no luck so far.  The old truck has got to have just the right look at a good price.  I will find it eventually. :)

Need some glorious old architectural pieces?......they had it!

I have a love affair with iced flavored coffees.  A vendor was selling some wonderful ones, so I promptly bought one and settled in a garden chair next to this shed and thoroughly enjoyed watching the people go by.  I got to meet up with  some virtual blogging friends in person also and it was like we had known each other for years, with easy conversation.  I even met Ms. Mustard Seed but didn't introduce myself.  She is very gracious.  If you haven' been to Luckett's, put it on your bucket list.  That and the gorgeous surrounding countryside and other darling shops nearby is a great weekend destination.

How fun Lynn. That market looked awesome. I saw somethings in each picture I would have wanted to buy.
Have a great rest of the holiday week end.

I made the conscious decision not to go to the Market this year. Sunday would have been my only opportunity, and I just couldn't bring myself to spend all day going up there, shopping, then coming home. Last year's Market was such a disappointment ... looks like things were better this year. Perhaps, I will make the journey for one of the days in 2016.

Wow Lynn what treasures they have there! (That blue camper is one of the most adorable things I have ever seen) Someday I would love to make it to Luckettes.
